Finally got the internets back today after what's it been, two weeks? Hah, seems longer.

So we're officially moved into the new apartment. Of course we're still waiting on most of the furniture, so we've been kicking it Japanese style for a while. It's so nice and beautiful here I don't even know where to begin. We just keep moving stuff in and you almost can't tell, because it still doesn't look like it's filling up. There's way too much room here, I have no idea what to do with it all. And the best part? The whole complex is nestled right in the midst of the woods, and we're in the very back. It's almost too good to be true, falling asleep to the chorus of crickets and all the children of the night.

Which reminds me, we had a rather unexpected visitor in here the other night. Will was over and we were showing him the new place, then we all just kinda hung out for a while. It was about 2am or so and he was just getting ready to leave, and I think I was taking something to put it in a closet when out of nowhere I hear Will yell something like "No Soubi, it's a snake!" Say wha?, I wonder, not really knowing if he was serious. Naturally I quickly backtrack to them and voila -- baby copperhead in the living room. And of course Soubi is curious having never seen a snake before, so she's got her nose right down near it's face. Dion quickly grabbed her up and backed away. While I'm still registering what's going on, I remember saying something like "take her into the bedroom, now" while Will grabbed a knife (as we're obviously lacking a shovel) and chopped it's little head off. It was kinda cute -- too bad they're dripping with poison, otherwise I might've liked to have kept it. ... Needless to say Soubi is a VERY lucky puppy.

Oh, and I got a job interview on Tuesday. YAYMUNNIES.
