So, my job interview! It was for a job at a sports shop, so the people working there are all young and relaxed people. Even the shop manager o.o He looks like he's 28-30. It was kind of cool. He was professional, but still young and not too overly serious. Laid-back is a good word. We were talking and he asked if I know much about sports shoes.. I don't, so I said I know a little bit. I was getting more nervous.
At the end of the interview, he commented me. He said I am friendly, outgoing and he has a good impression of me. HOWEVER, I am a university student, and he is looking for people working on saturdays AND friday afternoon... he said he can't hire me because of this, BUT he said he'd speak to his employees in the shoe section, if they would be willing to change their work schedule so he can hire me. He also said if I'd be willing to work at other shops, one being further away exactly at the opposite side of the street where my brother works <.< He works at a sports shop and that one is just to the other side of the street xD The other one is in a shopping centre in the 19th district... 5 minutes away from the BOKU biotech institute :) These shops are also looking for saturday workers - I even applied for the first one. All three shops are fine with me. He said he will call me next week and tell me if he can hire me.
I checked my schedule: One two (or three, depends on when I start) fridays, I'll have chemistry lab exercises, and on one saturday morning, I wil have a test. I may also be busy on more days for cell biology / genetics, depending on which group I'll be in - but there are like 10 groups, and only the groups 8-10 are on friday afternoons. I really hope he can hire me :) If not, I will ask if I could just go on holiday the two-three days I will be busy. He said that in his shop, he'd try to get me in the shoe section for winter, and in the race bike (!!!) section for summer. Race bikes! :) That's my DREAM section! I'd LOVE to work there. Being a triathlete is apparently something that looks VERY good if you want to work at a sports shop :D I just hope he can hire me. Pray for me!
