Yes, as usual, that was me. XD
Yo' peeps. I've finally gotten around to write another blog entry.
Classes are going well. I like 'em.
Juvenile Delinquency: Interesting class. Rempe (my professor) is a bit insane. It's a once a week, 3 hour class, and one of the first things she stated is that she would never end class early. *sigh* She also showed us a film called "Juvies" and boy was I disturbed. The fact that our justice system is harsher to youth than adults is amazing. Our system sucks when it comes to jail. Prison and jail are completely different things. Prison is long term and jail is short term. It's amazing that classes and all sorts of programs are offered to people in prisons, yet they may never return to society. However, jail has no programs for people who will definitely be back in society. I'm definitely going to have a love/hate relationship with this class, especially since I have to do two group presentations. One sounds interesting though because we get to teach a life skill to juvie kids on probation. The other presentation I don't like because I think it's just my professor being lazy because she's not going to lecture on chapter 2 at all. Instead, we're going to do presentations on the different theories. --;; It's amazing. She says she won't let us out early because we pay good money for education, yet she makes us learn chapter 2 on our own and teach each other. All I can say is: wtf?
Exploring Religions: Dr. Hsieh (Shay) is a bit hard to understand, but she's really nice. We're focusing on the Asian religions, which is one of the reasons why I chose her as my professor. I've made a friend. Yay! She's another Jackie. XD I seem to collect friends named Sarah and Jackie (spellings vary). We're going to do our presentation (yay another presentation) on Wicca. It was so funny because we had chatted a bit and she turned to me and asked if I wanted to be partners for the presentation. I asked what she was interested in and she immediately said: "Wicca." It was like she read my mind. XD I think this will be the easiest presentation. I like it.
Romantic Relationships: Dr. Breault again. She's so awesome! =D I adore her. The class will certainly be interesting because compared to most people in the class, I probably have the most practical and cynical attitude toward romantic relationships. However, this is why I'm in the class. To understand relationships more and possibly try to improve my own. Another reason is to deepen the believability of my characters' romances. Of course, since it's Breault we have a group presentation. bleh. Oh well, I'm experienced with what she wants. Most of the positive chapters have been taken, so I get to do a presentation on something negative. w00t. I'm disappointed Conflict was full because I'm good with that. XD However, I like the class.
Criminology: My professor, Dr. Blakely, is awesome. I love the class. It's just the sort of thing I'm interested it. =D Plus, NO PRESENTATIONS! WHOO! *dances around* Just a large paper that's not due until the end of the semester. It is writing enhanced, but it's not going to be much different from a normal class. Not much else to talk about yet. XD
Chorus: I'm sad that it's my last time in Chorus, but I'm going out the way I came in. We're rehearsing in the OP performance hall (like my freshman year) and we're going to perform in Baldwin again (like my freshman year). =D It's like coming full circle. We only have two pieces, but they're big. Brahms Schicksalslied and Prokofiev's Alexander Nevsky Cantata. I was so excited when I heard the Prokofiev piece because it has Battle on the Ice, which was used in LittleBig Planet for the last level, which was a world of ice. XD So funny. Dr. Jennings was amused when I told him about it. I love it. =D I get to sing in German, Russian, and Latin. w00t.
Mmmm. Lambrusco is tasty. =D It's especially fun to drink while playing Devil May Cry 3. It also tastes good with Cheez-its. XD
As to my David Eddings project. I'm now on Castle of Wizardry which is the last book in the Belgariad series. I'll start on the Mallorean next. =D I loves David Eddings so much. I just have to find Belgarath's book! I know I have it! I just don't remember where I put it. If all else fails I'll buy another copy. It's funny that I'm sandwiching the two series between the two stand alone novels of the ones who played a huge role. I also have to track down The Riven Codex which is all about David and Leigh's adventures in writing the series as well as their resource material and such. Reading his books are having an influence on my writing. I love the way he writes things! I always have. Once I'm done with David Eddings. I'm going to read Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy. Then I'm going to go through all the books in my room.
Perhaps that's what I'll blog about this year. My adventure through books. Hell, I'll have read five books by the end of this month. I think I can get through a lot. =D
My work on Aoitsuki Yurai has come to a standstill because I'm stuck, but I think it's because I still want to stick to what I originally wrote. Well, I hate most of what I wrote after chapter 13. I think I'll just rewrite 'em all. Keep the basics and stuff I did like, but start from scratch.
That's all for now.
Catch ya' on the flipside, mates!
