I have several things to post about in this entry, so I shall make LJ cuts.
I'm back at school and moved into my new apartment with Christina. It's lots of fun. I have five classes.
Chorus: Exactly what's to be expected. It's going to be fun. =D Our concert is early this year because we get the entire week off for Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to it.
Medical Terminology: Online course. I've already finished four quizzes. The professor is a bit insane and it's hard to work finish early without some complications, but it's only for the first half of the semester, so it works. Plus I'll learn a lot of fun stuff. =D
Psychological Research: My capstone course for my psych major. =D It's actually not going to be as bad I as thought. It will take a lot of work, but our research paper and stuff is going to be done in parts, which makes things much easier for me. Dr. Tigner also made specific deadlines for everything, so I'll be able to stay on track. I've already gotten a partner and we're brainstorming about our research project. =D I'm a bit nervous about the power point presentation, but the poster presentation is way more casual than I thought. We just stand in the SUB and talk about our project if someone asks. Having a capstone course really makes me feel like a college senior. XD
Intro to Scientific Investigation: Or as my professor calls it. Criminal Investigation. I like her. =D She's great and extremely thorough. Prof. Burick-Hughs was quite understanding when I talked to her about my ADHD and asked if I could get written instructions for our activities. I'm super excited about our final because it's a project instead of a test! We get in groups and investigate a crime scene! =D I really want to write a murder mystery someday, so this class will really help. I'm looking forward to learning in this class. ^^ <3 I actually look forward to it!
Criminal Law: First off, our professor is a prosecutor for the town and might get to see some of his trials. =D Prof. Williams used the entire first class to get to know us and it was fun. We also won't have a final test in this class. Instead we get to do a mock trial! I'm a bit surprised that I'm excited about the class, but I do at least want to learn a bit about our laws. It seems interesting. His method for teaching us the material is pretty cool, too. =D We're going to learn by working through trials instead of just regurgitating info from the book.
I've been making progress on Aoitsuki Yurai. =D I'm on chapter 11. ... Um... That's it. XD I'm enjoying the rewrite because I'm making things a bit deeper. I'll eventually get around to posting it. I've also rewritten some things in my Project: Memoria and I've sorta worked on a Fruits Basket fanfic idea. I've been trying to work on AY whenever I can though I get the feeling I'll either end up with more chapters or at least longer final battle chapters. XD
Liz has revived the Paleo Argentum RP =D We're starting from scratch. Kinda. The setting and plot are a bit different and we get to play with technical details. I also get the chance to make Zanka a bit more well rounded and less of a spaz. =D I've already finished her profile, but I need to finish writing the Earth stuff and write a journal entry. I'm really excited. I just wish the last three players would post their character profiles. TT_TT I really want to read them!
Well, my dad called me Friday morning about my bank account. Apparently, someone got their hands on my checking account number and transfered $940 out of my account. *sigh* I have to get a new account, new debit card, and new checks. I also have to go in and file a claim because I don't know what my verbal password is AND flag my credit report for fraud. --;; *sigh* I'm learning. whee... *Sigh again* Plus this creates a mess of anything I have automatic billing on. I have to go in and talk to the CableOne people because my account has changed, but I have to talk to my parents first to see if I actually have a new account that they can bill from. --;; It's just a huge mess. I have to take care of it now because the CableOne people bill me on the 5th of the month. *shakes head* If my academics aren't a mess then something else is. --;;
Playing phone circus with the bank for an hour is not fun. Especially at 9am with the worry of being late to your 10:30am class and you don't know how long it'll take to walk from your new apartment to the building. --;; Certainly woke me up, but most of the crap has been settled. Most of it.
... I might have to buy another craft table, too because my current one has become my TV's home. XD I like the set up, too.
Anyway, nothing else of interest has happened. Time to get back to writing. =D
