1."OMG SO CUTE! *leaves*" 2."... What the hell was that?" ~ 1. Random girl ; 2. Me

That actually happened. We had a girl come up and squee at our stuff and then leave before I could ask her anything. --;; It was strange.

Anime STL was fucking awesome. Not only did I get to meet Hawk & Ananth of Applegeeks and Mookie of Dominic Deegan, but my table was across from them! It was so freakin' cool! =D I've been a huge fan of those guys for like five years now! They were some of the first webcomics I got addicted to and they're in my top three. MacHall / Three Panel Soul is the other one in that group. Ian and Matt are going to be at Anime Central, but I can't go. Foo...

Anyway. I sold some stuff and met lots of awesome people. I got to Mookie's Writing Unique Heroes and Memorable Villains panel, which was marvelous. I learned a lot and it really got me thinking about my own writing. I had a major urge to write after it. =D I even have a new webcomic idea 'cause of it. Well, it's a modification of my first webcomic idea (the fantasy one. Not the college one). However, my highlight was definitely meeting those guys and giving them their presents. I made and Eve figure for Hawk and Ananth and a Dominic Deegan figure for Mookie. I was so freakin' nervous about giving them their presents, but they really liked it. It means a lot to hear compliments from people I admire so much. Those guys really are an inspiration to me. I hope they are invited again. Especially Mookie. I really enjoyed talking to him. =D He plays some kick ass music, too.

Mookie played Nightwish. That makes him awesome.

I fangirl over artists and writers. I don't really go nuts over voice actors. I don't get much inspiration from them. I write and create art. Therefore the people I tend to look up to are writers and artists. I will say writing is probably my first love and my deepest passion. I still have a long way to go with my skill, but I enjoy learning how to improve. I've wanted to be a writer since... Hmmm... Probably fifth grade... I really got into it in sixth grade though. Mrs. Schmitt really encouraged me to pursue it.

My only problem is that I want people to see what I see and that tends to lead to long descriptions. Thus the reason I want to improve my drawing. I think comics are what I'm looking for. I can show people what I see and still write great stories. I may never be published or be famous, but I really want to just do it for myself. I have so many characters in my head telling me their stories and I want to share them. I want to inspire people. I want to give people characters they can relate to. Give people a wonderful story.

I feel like that's really the only gift I can give. I'm not really focused enough on anything else. My other dream is a long way off... However, that dream is about helping animals. I do actually want to help people as well. Just not the way my parents want me to. I'd go nuts if I actually tried to make a living out of working with people. I want to write. That's what I really want to do. I don't have to make a living out of it though. It'd be nice, but it doesn't have to be my life. XD

I've gotten addicted to a band called Within Temptation. They're sorta a mix of Nightwish and Evanescence. Lighter than Nightwish, but heavier than Evanescence. Sound wise. XD

Things have been insane in the wake of the convention. Three tests in one week plus a paper. bleh. Humans vs. Zombies also started. I'm sketching out a lot of comics though. XD They shall remain scrappy comics though. It'll be a while before I have time to redraw them and clean 'em up. I have con comics, my "monday's child" parody (it's pretty much taking the poem and twisting it XD), and some random comics for my new webcomic idea. Plus a few random sketches for Humans vs. Zombies. I'm gonna focus on my drawing whenever I can till school's over. Then I shall pounce upon projects for Natsucon.

Oh yeah. I had to give up my Ceramics minor 'cause it'd take me more than two semesters to finish it. So, I'm a Justice Systems minor now. whee. =D Unfortunately most of those classes are in Barnett. --;; I've been trying to avoid having classes there, but I can't anymore. boo.

Anyway, not much else to report. I hope to get a link to my con pics sometime soon. ... Yes, my inner fangirl did squee when I thought about the con. Seriously, it tied with meeting Anne McCaffrey. Might've even surpassed it a little. =D squee.

Catch ya' on the flipside, mates!
