Rest in Peace

I got some distressing news today. Our church's former custodian, Quentin, died in his sleep this morning. I've known him ever since I was little. He worked at our church till about a year or two ago. He was let go because he just wasn't doing his job anymore. Even my mom agrees and I trust her opinion about church affairs. He had a special commitment to Cardinals games and went to every last one of them. He sold pretzels, peanuts, cracker jacks, etc. outside the metrolink station. He wasn't very old either. It's... It's just so weird because I saw and chatted with him a couple weeks ago. He was a really nice guy and such a pleasant person to be around. Hard to believe he's gone. They suspect it was an aneurysm of some sort. Just like Mr. Belloli. I didn't know him very well, but he was a major part of the Emmanuel family (Yes, I see the people at my church as another type of family) as well as a friendly face. His funeral's on friday and I'm definitely going. It really tore at me when I couldn't attend the funerals of two other Emmanuel family members and I want to pay my respects.

Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Te decet hymnus, Deus, in Sion,
Et tibi reddetur votum in Jerusalem
Exaudi orationem meam
Ad te omnis caro veniet.

Requiem aeternam dona defunctis, Domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
Requiem aeternam dona eis, Domine
Et lux perpetua eis.

funeral, death
