"Damn my lungs and their need for oxygen."
I said that last night when I was really out of it and thinking about why I have trouble staying asleep when I have a sinus infection. Bleh
It just seems wrong that the student health center can't take people who are obviously sick. I can't get a damned appointment till friday. Even the after hours clinic isn't open till friday! what the hell?! I'm sick now! I need to know if it's an official sinus infection so I can get the proper antibiotics! All I need is like.. Five minutes with a doctor! Maybe ten. I dunno, but it just seems ludicrous and wrong to not have open appointments for someone who is obviously sick right now. The only other place to go is the hospital and it's expensive to get so much as a check up over there.
Valentine's Day was okay. Romance-wise it sucked, but whatever. I didn't expect anything to pop up. This is reality. Not my silly fantasies. feh. Anyway. Spent the first part of the day feeling miserable and annoyed, but once I went over to see Sarah. Man it was fun. I ended up hanging out with Emma ('cause Sarah wasn't there), ordering Chinese, and watching Bones, Criminal Minds, and CSI: NY. Sarah came in during CSI:NY, so we got to hang for a bit, too. It was lots of fun.
I like to at least try to stay optimistic on V-Day, but sometimes it's rather hard. bleh. Whatever. Tomorrow's Discount Chocolate Day! Yay. I'm gonna clean Walgreens and Wal-mart outta their Reeses schtuff.
Not all was lost though. I'm extremely used to not getting valentines, but I got some today. Jenn especially made my morning when she gave me a V-day cup with some candy, a card, and a little maze thing. I also got a hug, which I really needed. I think this is the first V-day where I haven't talked to my parents... or gotten anything from them. I still need to send my sister and Pete the gift I got for them! gah! I am so forgetful ><
Needless to say. Valentine's Day. Not a big fan of it, but it wasn't a total loss. I enjoyed myself 'cause I have marvelous friends. ^^ <3
