Ninomiya and Hongo understand each other by looking eye to eye!?
The three boys getting embarrassed while being closely photographed is a pleasant sight.
Hongo: That was embarrassing… (laughs)
Mamiya: Lovey-dovey shots were taken, right? Right, boss? (T/N: Mamiya called Nino “Oyabin” which is an informal way of saying “boss”)
Ninomiya: Uh, yes. They were.
Mamiya: Ninomiya-san as the boss…
Ninomiya: You don’t call me that, right? (laughs)
Mamiya: Taking this opportunity, starting today I will go with Oyabin. At the start, although we are co-stars, I didn’t think I would be able to have these kind of conversations. Despite that, now I can relax more when we are together instead.
Ninomiya: Once again, this kind of talk makes me nervous (laughs)
Mamiya: He’s really a senpai that takes good care of people.
Hongo: Because he’s always looking after after the unskilled club members, right? Moreover, it’s because his sense is young (laughs)
Ninomiya: What? (laughs)
Hongo: You get together, have fun, and play with us right?
Among the many students that are acting with Ninomiya for the first time, Hongo shared hardships with him in the movie series “GANTZ” (2011). Ninomiya calls Hongo “Sensei” and such. (T/N: “Sensei” is an honorific used for teachers, doctors, and other respected professionals)
Ninomiya: That’s right. During “GANTZ”, the waiting time was quite long, but even if the waiting time was half a day, sensei was waiting without complaining. Because he’s amazing. Finally, I was able to become sensei’s sensei (laughs)
Hongo: Then, starting today, maybe I’ll call you big brother. (T/N: Hongo called Nino “nii-san”)
Mamiya: A big brother boss (laughs)
Ninomiya: What an unthinkable older brother!
Mamiya: You’re the backbone of the group.
Ninomiya: You can call me whatever you want, if that makes everyone happy.
Hongo: It will feel like all the students like being on-set.
If you’re asked what are your common features with Ninomiya…!?
Hongo: We’re not picky eaters, we like video games, and we say similar things at the same timing.
Ninomiya: That’s true.
Hongo: If I look at Ninomiya-san’s eyes, I will know what he’s thinking about.
Ninomiya: Today, we also communicated by looking eye to eye, right~? (laughs) The details are a secret, though.
Hongo: We did (laughs)
Mamiya: For me, maybe it’s baseball. We both have experience in baseball. There are also students who don’t know anything about baseball, right?
Ninomiya: There’s times when it’s like, “Inexperienced people make those kinds of mistakes?”, right?
Mamiya: That happens (laughs). Because for me, in a usual day, there’s baseball.
Ninomiya: However, your role is someone who is bad at baseball.
Mamiya: What should I do so I can be bad? That’s actually difficult (laughs)
Hongo: In my case, the director told me, “Do it eccentrically”. When I did my own brand of eccentricity, the director told me, “I don’t understand Kamezawa.” (laughs)
Ninomiya: I think that’s good. Because Kamezawa is fun to watch (laughs)
Hongo: If that’s the case, I’m glad.
In the filming location, of course, even during the off-time, they are an unskilled baseball club with passionate interactions.
Hongo: I’m happy that you often go drinking together with us.
Ninomiya: That is, it’s because the alcohol that I drink together with you is delicious. (T/N: I think Nino means the alcohol is delicious because he’s drinking it with them.)
Hongo: Big brother~! (T/N: Hongo used the name “aniki” this time)
Mamiya: This makes me cry!!
Hongo: We are also happy, and we have fun. The sense of distance is totally different from just being together on-set.
Mamiya: Even though I’m happy with just being able to go drinking together, each time, you take care of the bill.
Ninomiya: I’m working in this drama in order to treat everyone meals (laughs). When we consider going out for drinks, 6-7 people with absolutely gather (laughs)
Hongo: You also show us magic. And that skill is too amazing, I’m a little drawn in (laughs). I also want to hear more stories about acting!
Mamiya: If Ninomiya-san publishes a book about acting, I totally want to buy it!

This was adorable! <3 I feel kind of proud that Nino is being such a nice senpai to his co-stars. And he pays the bill when they go out to drink! OMG. The Frugal Lord Ninomiya paying for another person's meals! These kids don't know how lucky they are. Haha!
I have to say, Hongo-kun's portrayal of Kamezawa is one of my favorite things in YowaKate. I really wish he and Nino could act again, this time as brothers. That would be interesting. XD
