never too many shoes... except when you need to buy groceries
Today there was a young women on the bus stop who looked very stylish at first glance. All black skirt suit with a matching desinger logo handbag/breifcase scarf around her neck, big sunglasses and an MBNA bank nametag label at the bottom of her blazer. Until I looked again and discovered it was all "goach" - knockoff coach but with g's. It wouldn't have been so bad if I couldn't overhear her conversation about her interview process. Every other word was "fuck" and "shit". At the end of the convo she's complaining about how this "bitch Miss YingYang", her generic name for her asian interviewer, was giving her a hard time (her account of "hard-time" seemed like normal interviewing procedures) during the interview and she had stepped away and witnessed her wispering to a co-worker. "I couldn't even here what the fuck she was sayin'!"... then she pauses briefly and with excitement states she thinks she got the job - i guess she had checked her voicemail. "That bitch pays 35 grand a year!!!" I don't know whether to be happy for her, or sad for MBNA. Or both. Or maybe I shouldn't make assumptions. But the way she carried herself... i dunno.
Why am I having such a hard time finding a job to pay ME 35 G's?!
I'm sad that gas prices have caused plane tickets to go up. Normally i would pay 150-170 to go home roundtrip. $190 is the cheapest, being Southwest, and 260 was the low end for Expedia. I was watching Oprah one day, a lonnnnnnnnng time ago, and Peter Greenberg "the Travel Detective" was the guest. He was talking about the best day to buy airline tickets because the price drops back down on a certain day of the week. I can't remember what he said though. I think it was Wednesdays but I'm not certain. Does anyhone know what i'm talking about? I just don't wanna buy his book(s), but maybe it would prove usefull if I did.--- Nevermind I found it.
"The major plane ticket search engines (Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, Hotwire, Priceline, and so on) release their new prices on Wednesdays. So when you buy plane tickets online, you can get the best deals on Wednesday from midnight to around 5am." So now we all now!!
Bought some shoes today. I was originallyl thinking of getting some espedrilles from Target... I still might cause I wanna wear them with my long black tube dress when I go home. Nordstrom Rack was having a new arrivals event, almost got some Marc Jacobs studded ankle wraps, like these...
they were only 79 before my discount. They were hot but I'm glad I resisted... kind of... my budget would punish me if I did. Now that I'm looking at them again, well a similar version, I wish I had them. Maybe I'll return the green ones, and some other stuff I haven't worn, and get them... if they're still there
From work but the EXACT same ones are at target.
One of the newer girls on my crew boght these Marc's in the Rack as well, and was wearing them today.
I told her she's was bad for me lol. She owns about 300 pairs of shoes.... sheesh. I like her, she's very cool and sweet. It's always a relief working with girls my age. They are so much more focused and have much more to talk about than getting wasted every Thursday-Sunday. Like shoes, and buying houses, and thrift shopping lol. Very important issues!! Haha!!
I keep meaning to download Bootcamp, even though I don't really have any Windows applications to run.
I should try to download The Sims on LimeWire.
I need some milk so I can have some Fruity Pebbles :(.
I've decided going to start taking pictures and painting/drawing again,seriously, as of tomorrow.
