I cooked tonight! Baked lemon pepper chicken, spaghetti, apple & walnut salad. Lunch tomorrow shall be superb.
I got an invite to a Merryll Lynch meet & greet. There will be a panel discussion about what it's like to work for the company. I don't really want to go but all my friends at work tell me I reeeealy should. I dunno. I don't feel confident about going into something like that. Then there's always the what do I wear to look professional yet youthful & fashionable. Honestly, I guess I'm not that into it cause it's not the direction I'm going in life. I'm sure finance is lucrative but it's not for me per se. And I don't have the years of committment that the job requires. I plan to go back to school next fall.
Apparently my cable is NOT supposed to be cut off. Which is why I still have internet. There must be something wrong with my service. Have to call them tomorrow.
Just discovered that bluefly.com sells Chanel, among other designers.
okay time to stop lusting. if i bought these things at this point in my life it would be purely as status symbols, not cause i can actually afford them.... soooomeee dayyyyyy
I also found this website. vintagesewinginfo.com. particularly the 1940's Modern Pattern Design section. Just what i've been looking for. Gives a lot of info about patternmaking. I really want to make a madras blazer for spring but I'm know sewing expert. I really don't know how to sew much at all. I just create as I go, or use things that fit me well and immulate their components as patterns. I got some patterns from Walmart the other day. One for a dress and one for a camisole. I'm going to spend the next week, starting sunday, designing and sewing some spring items. Exciting. Let's make believe I'm a fashion designer for a week.
