It's a boy!
I've been up at the hospital for a larger part of today. My sister went into labor this morning (big surprise!), and after a C-section was performed, she gave birth to Ethan Shaun Cooper, weighing in at 5lbs 9oz. He's a premature baby (6 weeks, to be exact). Right now they have him in ICU because his lungs are under-developed. The doctors say that after a day or two, he should be perfectly fine. Just in case, please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
This week has been a let-down. I've had nothing to do all week, and I've been in a slump because I haven't seen Jessica any. It really sucks, and I've contemplated taking some sleeping medicine to try and knock out the week quickly. However, I've bore with it long enough, and she's going to be home soon. Thank God! She's called and texted me a few times today, and although surreal, it's great to hear from her. I miss her oh, so much! It's had me feeling down all this week.
Tomorrow we're going to the zoo and hanging out. We might drop by the hospital to see my sister and nephew. It all depends, though. She said she wanted to hang out early because Whitney was having a "surprise" birthday party (she knows about it) at 7 P.M. I haven't seen her all week, so I figured we'd hang out most of the day and just catch up. However, she wants to go to the party, and that bothers me a little, but I guess I can get over it.
