Yes, me and Ju have survived the plane journey!
Got back on tuedsday night and I've been exhausted ever since. Probably becasue we packed so much into the week...well why not?
The holiday actually got off to a bad start because we were delayed for 4 hours, so getting there 3 hours and being delayed a further 4...and then an extra one for the water to be fixed was quite annoying and we didnt get to our hotel til about 2 am!
So the next day we decided to go relax on the beach to start off our tans. The beach was about 5-10 mins walk away from our hotel and it was really nice and clean. The water was lovely and the sand was good for moulding sand sphinxes!
That night we went out on a bar crawl with our reps and about 50 other people with Thomas Cook. We got to Beach life and the first game was announced and so paul, our rep decided to drag me up for the first game. Girls Vs Boys; Run to the deck chair down as much of the drink as u can, run back to the start and do 5 star jumps. Needless to say, the girls team won that game! Hurray!
Lee, the loudmouth was responsible for our demonstrations through the streets with lots of oggies and loud chants to wake up the elderly!
The next day we went to the smaller water park because our plans for the fountains in barcelona had fallen thru because it was fully booked. It was a nice day but we kinda fell asleep by accindet in the sun, but i didnt get burnt strangely enough!
The night entertainment at the hotel itself was quite funny, but in a bad way because on on eof the first nights was a duo, one on a keyboard the other with a tambourine and they sang old songs while old couples waltzed. So we decided to have an early night.
On the friday we went to Port Aventura, which was such a good theme park. The spanish definately know how to do a good water ride, you get ttoally soaked. And dragon khan was a great rollercoaster! One of the best show/ride things was the temple of fire where the archeaologist lead us to the temple which erupted with fire over your head and all around you with the floor shaking and mutilated burnt bodies coming out of the water on poles...so scary even the fat man in front of julie jumped back and nearly smooshed her!
The best night entertainment at the hotel was definately the brazilian show, with the amazing dancers and the fire demonstrations, sadly it only lasted an hour but by that time me and ju were kinda dead on our feet.
Getting up at like half 7 every morning for breakfast was a bit straining, but the food in the hotel was the best thing, especially at tea time. The best pasta in the world, with all kinds of meats...there was something for everyone! the deserts were great too...once night i had about 7 deserts WHOOPS!
Saturday we went to the big water park in La Pindea, a 20 mins bus journey (luckily we got the right bus) The park itself was pretty big and had sea lion and dolphin shows

The slides were the best though because they were so dangerous :D I even mutilated my leg (of course i hurt myself on holiday, i always do) the boomerang was so funny because you went from one side on the slide to the other on a donut dingy and then floated off the edge...at one point i alsmot fell off the wrong side, so thats why i scream on the video as julie filmed me!
On the sunday we went on our boat cruisey thing in the Med. we went swimming and snorkelling and attacked by a jelly fish...well not attacked, it was merely spotted and caused panic wen julie was floating round tryin to avoid it. Team gecko even came joint first in the quiz, which is a rare event because we suck at quizes. however we lost because julie didnt guess christinas age correctly...she did look old but was apparently only 18, stupid young girl!

(slighty better pics tan west kirby boating cos the water is actually blue!)
On the monday we went to barcelona, the Nou camp stadium which was hella boring but we just pissed around with statues and pictures. then we went to the olympic stadium and found out they have a ct track team, the fastest in the world...

ok slight stratch of the truth, but it was over run by this cat and her howling black kitten!
we went to Gaudis sagrada familia, sadly covered in scafolding so pictures werent great :(

That night we went out again to the clubs and watched a great comedian and julie was theone that was picked on this time (he looked like craig from malcom in the middle) and he even kissed julie!
In the early hours of tuesday morning there was a great thunderstrom that woke us up and we recorded the forked lightning...it went on gfor ages so my sleep was distubred once again.
When we woke up it was wet everywhere and it was probably the worst day wethaer wise even though it went brighter and was still quite warm. We didnt go the beach, but wated our last few hours shopping, playing pool and talkin to english ppl.
One thing that we learned in france and again in spain is how rude europeans are. dont bother saying sorry, thank you, hello or anything like that becasue all you get it either a stoney expression as if you arent there or you get evil looks. We even found about 20 scousers around the hotel so they made up for the unfriendly atmosphere.
The flight home was fione, and we even got home half and hr early!
It was a great holiday even thought i got the flu and I missed paul a lot...who has had a makever since i left. his hair is shorter and his moustache has disappeared so he is no longer will turner but is drew baylor from elizabeth town.

I wonder where we'll go next year...
