hp_survivor
There is always a brief sense of total disorientation in the trip from being at the university and returning home. Also, a bit of sadness as I get much less internet time, and what I do get is with very, very slow dial up. :( Oh, well. I can still go on, and that is the important thing, really. :)
Oh, the brief time I can go on I have been obsessed with reading hp_survivor. I never watched the real show, and now... I am addicted. I spend at least an hour and a half each night reading the entries... how do the players do it?!!! I mean, I barely have time to look at them all each day. I am so torn in who to root for- I really like Pansy, Harry, Lucius, Draco, Severus, and Remus. Then again, I kinda liked Voldemort and Sirius too, and they got voted off, so I am scared to choose a favorite because I have a gut feeling as soon as I do, they're gone.
Characters I am indifferent to: Bellatrix, Narcissa, Dumbledore, Neville
Characters that I hope don't win: Ron, Hermione, Lockhart, Charlie
I should not choose favoritss, but, oh! It is so hard to not do so while reading. :) Actually, I should give thanks to all the players for making the game so interesting! Most of the characters are really in-character, especially Harry, Draco, Hermione. I would also say that these characters are really IC, except that they are so little in the books that I cannot reliably say what is IC and OOC: Lucius, Narcissa, Sirius. I don't think that there is any character OOC, except perhaps that Ron is too smart and cunning (though I do not have a great opinion of him in the books, so perhaps I am biased- also, I think he got over his phobia of the spiders a bit too easily- suffering very greatly from this phobia, I know that I would not have been as calm), Lockhart too crafty and willing to do hard work (I always pictured him as a Gryffindor, so again, my perceptions may be biased), and Neville (too forward really, but it may be his inner-Gryffindor strength coming out).
I never really watched the TV show, catching perhaps one or two episodes at most, but I have a feeling that I am going to want to watch next season. Yes.
