加油!!
Not as exciting as Japan vs Cameroon, but the first game I caught in full. (only saw the second half or so of JP vs Cameroon)
Love the Chinese goalkeeper. Hella cool head. Also liked the ref -- saw a lot of complaints about the female refs so far (a lot of whom lack experience), but aside from the mistaken call in the beginning, I thought the ref team was fine this game.
I really enjoyed watching the Cameroon team in both games -- aggressive and tenacious. China team seemed a bit worn out, but I do like watching teams that really rely on teamwork, and they're definitely a ensemble sort of team (as opposed to "carried by one or two talented players").
If US makes it through to the quarter-finals (which there's a pretty high chance of) I will be switching loyalties back to US of course. :P I have to confess though, I'm slightly soured on the US women's team due to the Hope Solo drama and so I haven't been making an effort to catch their games.
Still, I have really fond memories of the 1999 finals (the last time I watched the women's World Cup seriously for probably obvious reasons). I know both teams are now in totally different places (Chinese team went into decline for a while). But I'm looking forward to this matchup for sure (and hoping my schedule works out >_<).
(Oh just checked the schedule. Can probably catch that game, whoo!)
