So, Camus sets up the "black knight" archetype of Fire Emblem -- blond knight in black armor whose story arc revolves heavily around themes of loyalty. (FE1-3: Camus/Zeke/Sirius; FE4: Eltoshan/Aless; FE5: no one I can think of right now, but FE5 is light on the archetypes to begin with; FE6: Percival; FE7: Harken is like, a bastardized mix of Camus and Astram, I don't really consider him as a pure example of the archetype though; FE8: again, there's no good fit, though I think Glen and/or Cormag and/or Selena may be variations on this; FE9/10: I know there's a "Black Knight" but also know that he's not blond, and not sure how he fits in.)
So, I knew in the back of my mind that Camus/Zeke/Sirius was (pretty obviously) based on or inspired by Gundam's Char. What I DIDN'T realize was just HOW MUCH.

eta: *heave gasp wheeze* Okay, just for the record, I'm gonna say it -- Camus is what happens when you throw
Char and
Reinhard in a mixer. And uh yeah. Will elaborate if necessary, though I don't think it is. XDDDD
