Actually I really like that Ishida Orihime pic and blame the lack of beautiful Orihime-Ichigo art and the anime for the lack of LUVZ for this pairing. But after the beginning of Hueco Mundo arc, I keep coming back to the idea that Hime and Ichi are reincarnated souls or will be until they get together >-o. Besides which, I love Renji and Rukia!
I could go either way with Renji/Rukia or Rukia/Ichigo, actually. But I adore Ishihime because they're hopelessly dorky-cute. And I want the geek to get the girl for once. XD
That said, I agree the Ichigo/Orihime hints are going explody in this arc. Still holding out for Ishida though!
There's been some interesting discussion in the past btw on the significance of Hime's name and the whole Tanabata legend. (more embellished version here) Some people were trying to use it to argue one side or the other re: Ishihime/Ichihime, though it may just be an indicator that she's meant to be the romantic heroine figure in the story.
I like all possible pairings, and am completely fine with none actually particularly since the fans of all pairings are wanktards . (I twitch everytime I see certain ones posting like hourly on the various LJ comms and wish to god someone would write battlefic so I could be spared the creepy feeling that all of bleach fans on LJ are squicky girls who want sex
( ... )
Incidentally, Ichigo is a nerd too. He gets all freaked out whenever people make comments about how Orihime could never like him.
I think he feelsb etter with Rukia because they can scream at each other like a bunch of little boys.
Problem with this pairing is that I can't see them doing anything except calling each other "stupid."
The only pairings that make sense to me are Yoruichi and Urahara. And I like them because he lets everyone think he's a wuss and yet we've only seen hints at his full bankai. I am wondering if he's potentially a vizard as well. I mean he's a scientist - how can he not have tried it? I would have as an aspiring evil genius.
And Yoruichi has a rather foxy sense of humor. I can see those two getting together because she has initiative. THe rest of the Bleach world is sexy but asexual. Plus the Soul Society has no need of babies. I think that's why the human world is tolerated.
Then again, more crackpot theories from the mind of someone who has foresworn fanfic for the time being... sigh.
