As they are the oldest members, Ohno and Sakurai have been assigned as roommates since the time they debuted as Arashi. It has been years since they were allowed to live in their own places but for some reason, the two of them opted to stay together. They don’t really put it to words but it seems they really like being in each other’s company.

Ohno is usually a calm and quiet person. He’s also the type that does not like to meddle in other people’s affairs. Hence, Sho can bring home any girl he fancies and Ohno wouldn’t mind. Sho, on the other hand, is someone who likes to know everything about everyone.

One day, when Ohno came home after a long day of interviews and photoshoots, he caught sight of Sho making out with another girl on the couch. Even though this scene was somewhat normal and happened fairly often, something snapped inside of Ohno and he seemed to have reached his limits. For someone as patient as he is, to be able to push him this far was something akin to breaking a Guinness world record. He didn't know exactly why he was infuriated but he just found himself marching up to Sho and shouting angrily, “Would you stop making our apartment your own personal love hotel?!”

The look of shock and astonishment on Sho’s and the girl’s face was blaringly obvious. This was the first time Ohno had spoken up about this matter, and he exploded like a volcano. Feeling ashamed, the girl immediately picked up her things and left in a hurry, dodging Ohno’s eyes. Ohno glared furiously at a bewildered Sho for what seemed to be one full minute before he retreated irritably to his room, tossing aside his clothes and immediately falling asleep on his futon.

The next day, upon coming home from a location shoot for his drama and completely forgetting about yesterday’s incident, Ohno was puzzled to see the apartment empty. Sho, regardless of whether or not he brought someone along with him, would always be there when he comes home and even when he brought in a guest; he would have had the time to ask Ohno about his day. Even though he was really tired, Ohno decided to watch TV while waiting for Sho to return. He knew Sho would want to know everything he did, especially now since their schedules for the month won’t allow them to meet anywhere else. Because of this, he couldn’t exactly go to sleep early. In fact, he actually enjoyed talking to Sho enough to cut a bit of his sleeping time.

Two hours later, Sho finally returned, silently entering the apartment. Ohno welcomed him back with a warm smile. He was surprised when Sho nodded mutely and walked past him without saying a single word. Thinking that Sho might have just been tired, Ohno decided to let it off, though he felt a bit disappointed as they weren’t able to have their daily chat. He opted to tell him the next day when Sho is feeling better.

By morning, Ohno remembered the outburst he had after finding a tube of lipstick the girl had left behind. Feeling guilty, he wanted to have a proper talk with Sho once he gets back to clear the air. Yet, once again, Sho was nowhere to be found when Ohno came back home. After waiting anxiously, Ohno received a cold shoulder from Sho who returned and just said, “I’m back. Good night,” whilst averting his eyes and entering his room without even letting Ohno say a word. Ohno went to sleep feeling dumbfounded.

A week had passed and Ohno still wasn’t able to have a proper talk with Sho. He was undeniably feeling lonely and it was already affecting his work. He was talking less and always had a frown on his lips. After giving less than a stellar performance during recording, Ohno retired sullenly to the couch, flopping down beside Nino. Nino saw the look on Ohno’s face and queried, “What’s wrong, Ohchan? You seem kinda down lately.”

He sighed and mumbled, “I haven’t been able to speak to Sho-kun lately. We kinda fought.” “I see,” Nino said as he gently patted his shoulder. “As much as I’d like to ask what you fought about, I doubt you’d tell me so.. well.. all I can tell you is that, if you think you did something wrong, you should just apologize.” “You think so?” Ohno asked. “Sure! People soften when you say sorry. It’s a magic word, don’t you know?” Nino said, smiling encouragingly. Ohno nodded, making a mental note to make up with Sho tonight, and possibly treat Nino to a meal afterwards.

The same pattern was repeated that night, with Ohno coming home to a despondently empty apartment. He figured Sho would be out late and to avoid talking to him so he gave up on the thought of making up and went to sleep, having to wake up early for tomorrow’s appointment.

As he was restlessly sleeping, Sho arrived home earlier than usual and flopped himself onto the couch. He sighed as he remembered what happened a week ago and fell asleep straightaway.

Ohno dreamt uncomfortably of his angry flare-up, Sho running away and himself, all alone in a dark room. He woke up, sweating. Moaning, he blearily shuffled to the kitchen to drink some water. Crossing the living room, he saw a figure in the corner of his half-closed eyes and was surprised to see Sho, snuffling softly on the couch. Ohno tentatively went near the sleeping man. As he stared at the faint shadows playing on the contours of Sho’s face and his closed eyes, Ohno felt his hand move forward and grab Sho’s wrist. He instantly woke up in the gesture. “W-what?” he said in a disorientated tone, looking around in a fluster. His eyes settle on the small man in front of him.

Being so close to the person that he had missed so much and finally getting to look into those deep eyes, Ohno could no longer hold in the tumult of his emotions. He carefully brought Sho’s hand on his cheek and in a faltering voice, he uttered, “I’m so sorry…” Sho looked at him with a confused expression. “I’m sorry... so don’t avoid me anymore... You can bring in all the girls you want... Just don’t avoid me... I feel lonely...” he said as tears trailed down his cheek onto Sho’s hand.

Sho looked astonished at Ohno crying. He then couldn’t help but chuckle, “You’re so cute~! Ahaha!” The older man stared at him blankly, replying, “What are you talking about?” Seeing the perplexed look on Ohno’s face, Sho added, “I wasn’t avoiding you because you forbade me to do ‘stuff’ here.” Ohno thought for a second and asked, “Then... you really were avoiding me?” Sho suddenly flushed a guilty red, but otherwise, nodded.

Ohno moved his face closer to the younger man’s, kneeling in front of him. The latter tried to look away but Ohno cupped his cheeks, looking straight into his eyes. The older man was able to hold his gaze and Sho could no longer turn his eyes away. With a soft voice, the older man asked, “Why?”

With the stare Ohno had been giving him, Sho lost his grip on his emotions and unconsciously grabbed the older man by the neck and kissed his lips hungrily, losing himself in his desire . It took him a good two minutes to be able to stop himself from going further and he reluctantly broke away. The shock was apparent on the older man’s face as he traced his own lips.

When Ohno came to, Sho was already with his back facing him, his ears burning red. “Sho-kun?” Ohno called out. Sho refused to look at him but said, “That’s why I was... avoiding you...” Ohno still could not comprehend. Sho continued, “You told me to stop doing 'that' here... and I did... that’s why I can no longer be in the same room as you without... getting turned on...” It required a little more explanation for the older man to understand and Sho knew that, so he sighed and just said, “To put it simply... I’ve been in love with you the whole time. And in order not to lay a hand on you, I... purposely brought girls back here... Do you get it?” Ohno, who was staring at him with his jaw hanging, was at least able to nod. He then thought aloud, “I’m glad~ I thought you were mad at me...” Sho retorted affectionately, “That’s impossible. I’d never be mad at you.”

Ohno put his hand on his chest, and mumbled to himself, “There’s one thing, though. I wonder why I snapped back then...” Sho finally faced him with a questioning look, “Maybe.. I was just.. jealous..” “Eh? Jealous?” Sho couldn't help but parrot him in disbelief. The older man just stared at him, and the next thing he knew, he was receiving light kisses on the corners of his mouth. And all his senses were taken over with just a soft whisper in his right ear, saying, "I said, I'm in love with you too..."
