In 2004 did you:
1. Go to a party? hells yeah
2. Try something new? treeplanting! and some littler things too...
3. Have someone change your life? not someone, but something... that would be treeplanting again. and some combination of the people i met there.
4. Kiss someone? four bandsies (two girls), and at least two randoms. and alex was - easily - the best one.
5. Tell your family and friends you love them? yes, when i meant it.
6. Buy something extravagant? i might have if i'd had the cash
7. Do something nice for you? so many things, that's what i'm all about!
8. Do something terribly wrong? well i tried very hard to make that lakehead boy with the girlfriend make out with me, but that's not quite "terrible"
9. Move? to the lovely house in kingston! and i love it!
10. Go to a concert? david usher, at the cocamo. i think that was 2004 anyways, it might have been earlier. and the horrific frosh week sum 41 concert. ugh.
Best of the Year:
1. Party: either the shotluck at the muffin man-sion, the dancer birthday party, or the halloween-themed planting party. actually wait, its gotta be boston. all of boston. it was one fuckin huge party.
2. Show: sex and the city. i know its been around for years, but i only started watching it this year. and i know its not GOOD, but its damned entertaining!
3. CD: sarah harmer's "you were here"
4. Movie: eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, or the extended ROTK
5. Song: i've been listening to too much country to remember what *actual* good music sounds like...
6. Experience: hello, treeplanting!
7. Concert: david usher. i will never stop loving his concerts.
8. Book: matt cohen's "elizabeth and after"
9. Month: hmm.... june, september, or december. i can't decide, they're all too good
10. Day: the random sunday off when we went swimming in the lake at the back of erica's land, or that night in summer when clara was visiting and some people gathered at my house for drinks and talks.
Worst of the Year:
1. Party: i can't think of a stand-out bad one this year, so i'll go back to halloween 2003.
2. Show: the swan. ugh.
3. CD: ashlee simpson
4. Movie: probably some bad romcom i had the misfortune of seeing
5. Song: that song by JoJo (hello, you're like 12! you don't know anything about boys, so SHUT UP!)
6. Experience: treeplanting again. the only time in my life i've actually wanted to kill myself.
7. Concert: sum 41, and i definitely would not have gone to this if i wasn't a frosh leader!
8. Book: not sure. i usually stop reading pretty fast if its that bad.
9. Month: probably one of the blah winter months. (oh shit, we're coming up to them soon...)
10. Day: the first swamp walk-in day at planting, with the rain and the bugs and the really bad talk with nigel
Hopes for 2005: this section is boring so i'm skipping it.
1. Predict something that you think will happen in 2005:
2. What do you hope changes about your country?
3. What do you hope for yourself?
4. What do you hope for your family?
5. What do you hope for your best friends?
6. What do you hope for the rest of your friends?
7. Do you think any amazing medical advances will be made?
8. What is your hope for 2005?
During 2004:
1. Where were you when it began? in aaron's basement, with just a little too much champagne
2. Did you stay up? yes, and then i went to sleep in between drunk jo and drunk aaron. worst idea ever.
3. What was your new year wish? to live it harder and faster
4. How many boyfriends/girlfriends? alex. the word boyfriend makes me uncomfortable...
5. Break ups? none, though i was still getting over joel for a while there
6. New friends? the planters, although they were all fleeting. julia's best friend, andrew, who i just met a couple days ago but i know i'm gonna be friends with. ben and justin. mare, margot, alex, and all the rest of the bandsies i didn't know well enough before.
7. Missed anyone? joel, like crazy. andrea and aleha.
8. Best place you went to: i didn't go to a whole lotta places this year, actually... i guess it would be that little grove i found in the middle of my fourth-last piece of land while planting. baby birch trees and soft bedtime moss.
9. Worst place you went to: the "road" of the first swamp walk-in. if by road i mean death swamp.
10. Happiest moment: the day i first planted over 1000 trees, or 20 minutes ago when i discovered that 90s do, in fact, exist in RELS and that i just got one on my final essay. to be fair, i just don't know, there are so so many of them
11. How was your birthday: a little boring. my mom came to visit, and we met a few bandsies at the tir nan og. it snowed a lot.
12. Best present: meh.
