Took pictures when we drove around Quezon City. That's the aftermath of the flood brought by Typhoon Ondoy, and those pictures are even understatements. Couches, beds, closets, clothes are all outside because the houses were submerged in water and mud. In the province, some houses collapsed completely. A lot of people drowned during the flood and what's left are muddy corpses.

I look at the news and see footage of rescue workers carrying bodies of children and it just fucking breaks my heart. :|

On the day of the flood, (my last entry?) people are calling up ABS-CBN and GMA so we're all hearing pleas to be rescued or pleas to rescue others who are already standing on their rooftops.

The rescue missions are still ongoing, because there are still those who are stranded despite two days having passed already.

I'm just really, really... sad, I guess. :( There's no other word for it except heartbreaking.

What's good about this is that everyone's helping each other and I saw that with my own eyes yesterday and today. :"> And I really, really want to give something, or to volunteer, but don't know how to :( I want to donate through text or something :| It hurts to know that I'm here while a thousand other people are out there, still without electricity, still without water, still without food, having lost someone, having lost their homes.

Driving around Quezon City, anywhere you look, there will still be signs of the flood and people outside trying to fix things. I just thank God that my family and my friends and their families are okay and safe. The first floor of our house in Paranaque is wet and muddy, but hey, everyone's safe :">

Guys, please pray for the people of my country. :) After Typhoon Ondoy, two more typhoons are going to pass the Philippines, so here's to hoping they're not as fierce.

And thank you to all those who worried about me. :D :* I'm totally fine ^^ We didn't encounter much flood over here in QC, just the overflowing of the drainage and all, but the house's okay and back in order now. I spent yesterday in Ericka's house doing our Music project, and they didn't get flooded there at all. :)

Classes are suspended until Oct. 2 because of the damages the typhoon gave.
