Headed out on a road trip with my relatives to Suzhou today... The newly developed area is really nice... very open and green and clean -- three things that Shanghai is distinctively NOT ^^;;
Made a stop off at Nanyang on the way there to have the original Xiao Long Bao *drool* Gluttony is something I am happily participating in on this trip *LOL*
Before we got there though, we took a bit of a detour around (the outside of) Shanghai's F1 track. It was closed off since it wasn't race season, so barring a few glimpses of the track itself, it wasn't exactly an exciting experience.
Having said that... the detour didn't end up being a total loss.
We were on our way out when we caught sight of a few people "throwing" two of these things around in an empty parking lot ^^;;;
Front: Ferrari 575M Maranello
Back: Ferrari F430
The mechanics people were really nice and let us take a few photos posing next to the cars as well *L* It's probably the closest I'll get to a Ferrari outside a showroom for a long time... if ever ^^;;;
I'm not a rev-head by any stretch of imagination -- I merely appreciate cars... some more than others *L* But the sound of those V8/V12 engines as they were revving around that parking lot... ^________________^ So very, very drool-worthy *L*
