I'm quite glad this mission's over.
Now all I want to do is get home, take a.... shower.... and read a book. One which I will be collecting from Uchiha Sasuke once I can pull away from the team.
And goodness knows what Ino is up to, but I refuse to attend any sleepover.
That's final, by the way.
There was this girl...
I met her after the uh... bathroom... incident....
Shit, I'll never be able to say anything remotely related to bathrooms anymore.
I took a walk, because... sometimes too much of Ino around can be a little suffocating. But yea.
She... she looked like Temari. She was outside the dango stall and her hair was down, but when I caught a glimpse of her face, I could have sworn. I actually went to talk to her. Despite how troublesome I thought it would be. It wasn't her, but there was always a possibility, wasn't there?
But nothing goes perfectly.
She wasn't a kunoichi. Just a normal girl who practiced no taijutsu, no genjutsu, no ninjutsu... run off the mill. Soft-spoken, gentle...
I smiled at her. She didn't like squid either, and she loved okonomiyaki.
Then Ino came and kicked up a scene.
Trust her to show up as if nothing happened.
So many other things I remember about her, but I can't remember her name.
But yea. Chouji dragged us to have barbeque again. It seems he's missed Konoha food. Yet it was... terribly awkward.
"Shikamaru, didn't you like chiken breast?"
Somehow the word... breast held a whole new meaning. I dropped my chopsticks.
"Ino, you're not touching the sausage!"
She dropped her rice bowl.
Then the usual long, uncomfortable silence.
I excused myself and went for a walk. But she came out and dragged me back in.
Why me?
But speaking of Ino...
I hate to admit it, but it's a little worrying.
She doesn't eat, and from what I hear her mother's not being very easy on her.
I think I need to talk to Tenten about it or Ino's going to shrivel up and die before we know it...
