Periodic Update and Movie Review

Yea.... I don't use this thing as much, but then, hw, hw, hw... and procrastination doesn't exactly help. Bah, but before I can continue:

Julia, thank you for the e-mail, and Stephanie, thank you for the Rammstein music link. Listening to it too much, perhaps, but, lol, its good to listen to something in heavy contrast to what I'm working on, lol.

The movie (Silent Hill) was good. I really liked the symbolism in the story, which was probably what made it so good in my book. But, here, I think I should clarify my beliefs on some of the things (btw, the names may be inaccurate, but, I'm doing this to be best of my memory... yes, I regret not doing this sooner):

>b/b<

Small Fire Demons: These are the things that Rose was first chased by, as she went down those stairs, and the siren first rang out. It is not known what they can do, but, from the torn apart, but still alive guy in the jumpsuit, who's entrails were hanging out of him, it can be safely assumed that they will tear you apart. This is a symbolization of the fires that consumed Valessa's body, over that huge criss-crossed fire pit those fanatically evil cult-like 'christians' were, as it tore her flesh apart. In the same manner, Valessa created these demons to do the same to everyone else that they would encounter... to share in pain, and to show her wrath and vengence.

Fire/Ash Vomiting Demons: Demons that, after a while of churning the fiery liquids in their body, will spit this incessently burning fire on you, that destroyed the police woman's helmet and vest. Evidentally, a shot to the head can, and will kill them... showing that the demons are indeed vulnerable, but definetly numerous. This demon is a representitive of how the fire would melt away her flesh, burning it away, the counter-part to the small fire demons. Painful, yes, but not as numerous, it would seem... although, as more and more came down from the hill... it can only be guessed that Valessa's pain increased heavily, as all of her flesh was virtually burned away, until, there was nothing. Apparently, its so hot, its almost acid like..

Blind Guy: Okay, I forgot this guy's name, but this is the guy who evidentally raped Valessa. He's blindfolded, his legs tied up behind him with wires, and crawls on the fleshy, dead floor using his hands. Apparently, whatever he touches turns his enviroment into a fleshy, pus-pulsing thing, and flicks his tongue around for unknown reasons (smells things like a snake, maybe?). Undoubtly, death is the only thing this guy brings, but his way of attacking... it feels so evil, it's like violating everything around him, the same way he violated Valessa. A... 'perversion of his surroundings' if you will, blinded by his evil deeds, perhaps?...

Small Carniverous Demon Bugs: It only takes one person to begin the tumble of an avalanche... these are a representive of the townsfolk, and how they will destroy anything that their wills are directed to. Of course, they need direction most of the time, although they are fairly evil on their own (think of how small kids belittle others when they don't know what they're doing is mean... compared to an organized riot). Who organizes these bugs? The affectionatly named "Pyriamid Man".

Pyriamid Man: Slow and lumbering in its huge strides, strong, and suprisingly fast, it is a demon whose face we cannot see. In the movie, it uses its huge sword to cut through buildings and hunt down its victims/prey, wherein, it lets the bugs dispose of the flesh, after its done hewing those in its path. What does this symbolize? Blindness in vinidiction. Once vindicated as prey, Rose and the cop woman had to run from this person, until it was warded off by the blinded prayers of the people in their... 'sanctuary'. Pyriamid Man can be viewed also as the villagers, except in a more hateful, more organized fashion, somewhat like the leading priestess of their little church cult, more then anything.

Faceless Nurses: Okay... they charge at you like seductive lap dancers at a strip bar... and they have no faces. Right. Tell me, am I the only one to notice the suggestiveness of the way they walked? It made me laugh, if memory serves me correctly. I don't have a real solid idea for this... but, from what I can tell, the constant slashing movements, the strikes to kill made by these nurses was probably the pain felt by Valessa before, during, and after surgery. Being 'put under the knife'. So... why are they blind, you ask? Perhaps it is a symbolism to their blindness to how much further pain they put her through, how scared she felt, as she was put into a 'sleep' state of mind, with their sedations, or something along those lines.

Bloody Eyes, Pupiless Nurse: Because she's constantly weeping tears... we can possibly assume that this is the self-pity that Valessa feels for herself, and how much pain she's really in, not being able to move her body or anything. No more kindness for this nurse... only sorrow and self-pity.

Birds: Whenever everything goes to hell, the birds freak out and go to the sanctuary. This could possibly play along the lines that, if an EMP wave were to happen on a massive scale, the electric things that work in a bird's mind would malfunction, and make it die. So, if they're in another dimension, and in another frequency, could they be able to detect..?

Evil Little Girl Valessa: Okay, she easily stated it in the movie: She's the evil side of Valessa. She said that 'she is the Reaper', and thus it is, that she, the true evil within Valessa, killed everyone, although, it can be hard to tell who is who... and possibly... both of these Valessa, since all the goodness is all hidden away in Sharon... both are maybe... the same?

Valessa: By now, she's pretty pissed. She's been trapped in a body that can't move, is in constant pain, we can guess, or else, lost all her nerves in the fire, possibly through third-degree burns... ah, yes... This is her as herself, except, the evil little girl is somewhat like a director in the way they kill people in the final massacre of the movie. It is she, who puts the leading cultist woman to a fierce violation, first, holding her limbs so that she can do nothing but writhe with her body. Then, pushing the barbed wires up her *bleep*, and literally, tearing her apart, a quentiscential outlook of how 'rape' feels like, before splitting her in half... Stephanie has already made clear to me that the equivalent of that would be having that same barbed wire twisted around my dick, and then have it blasted apart into pieces before my very eyes... I shudder as I even type that. Also, Valessa seems to have put Sharon and Rose into this... alternate dimension.

Sharon: At the end of the movie... she seems evil, yes? She was spoken of as "the last vestige of goodness in Valessa's heart". And it is probably because of her that Rose was able to stay alive... otherwise, Valessa's nightmare would've been complete, and the outrage she would've felt... probably would've killed everyone in an instant, the evil bitterness and vengence maybe enough to do something. But, at the end of the movie, Evil Valessa smiles at her... but it doesn't show what happens afterwords. Perhaps... now that the 'pure good' has no more need... good and evil can become one and become whole again? Definetly baited sequel material by the director. Also, how is she only 6 years old when Valessa's about 30? Only answer could be an 'alternate dimension' or else, a really, horribly thought through storyline.

Alternate Dimension?: Some have hypothesized that where they are, where the gray clouds are constantly blowing is limbo or purgatory. Then, how could you die... wouldn't you be visibly taken away by angels or demons, or something, and not constantly terrorized? Others say that this is "Valessa's Nightmare", and that, Valessa stated that no one in it will ever escape it, as in, a place commited by all of her focused anger, that she, 'psychichly' created this place... and since this is a movie, I think this may be the best one to come up with, because, if your in another 'dimension', then, your exactly where you are, except, in another frequency, someone else who looks exactly like you, or something along those lines... is there, in that branch in the past where you did something different... something for every frequency. Even with the sins commited against her done, it appears that even then, Sharon and Rose won't be coming home any time soon, but note that the cars begin working again, as Valessa has already used Rose... possibly as a thank you? So then, what will happen next, now that they're stuck in this world? If I am correct, then, due to all of this controversy, such as what I saw over in EB games right after the movie, after everyone initially said "IT SUCKED", they began arguing about what things ment and the what not...

Oh yea... the director was evil, leaving us with that cliffhanger. The end result: SEQUEL. Next year, two-three years from now... it'll possibly be another trilogy, or however many movies as they make games.

Review: 7-8

Not a bad movie.. the reactions were pretty damn real enough, and I can imagine acting in a similar, if not more so manner... Some things didn't make sense in dialogue... but otherwise... it was a solid 'rent-it' movie. There's a higher 'gross' factor then a 'AHHH' factor, and it isn't really "The Ring" material, but, it does well with what it has to work with.

End of Movie Review!

After that, nothing really happened, and we all went to Barnes a Noble, hung out, and then, everyone went their seperate ways. The weekend was boring on my end, having to work on a project. The only other days of interest was on Wednesday, yesterday:

-I got the part of "Sad Techie", an essentially emo-ish techie that attempts to kill himself... I'll be working alongside Julia, A.K.A. Jesus/Ted. Excited about that, and just about have the lines memorized (not much, and I just about have the monologue down, so I'm happy.)
-Day of Silence for GSA, which was the spur of controversy. I saw mixed results, but I didn't side for or against anyone... No, that's a lie. I supported Julia for what she was doing, but I didn't support the thing itself... I'm neutral on this matter. It was kinda funny though, as, the guys in Weight Lifting class were talking as I walked by, I heard them comment on "How stupid, and how much gayer this would make gays", in obvious contrast with everyone I saw with you guys during lunch, who was wearing Duct Tape. Ah well..

Nothing more to write about (well, probably is more, but I'm far too lazy/tired feeling right now). Going to finish up some things and go to sleep... 'night.
