I have finally finished watching Season 3 and re-watching Seasons 1-2 in hopes of waiting out the summer hiatus. I just wish October 15th would come already, so I can get my weekly dose of 30 Rock back. I've always loved Say (All I Need) by OneRepublic and have always wanted to attempt to make a video to the song. I didn't want to make a crappy, boring music video with amateur skills... but then I decided that every vidder has to start somewhere. So. That, combined with my general boredom prompted me to create this Jack/Liz video! On a final note, constructive criticism is welcomed and greatly appreciated for this vidding-beginner!
Commentary:
0:04-0:18 ~ I wanted to use the Pilot at the start of the video to show Jack and Liz's first meeting and how their relationship would grow from that moment on.
0:35 ~ I absolutely love this moment in SeinfeldVision!
0:48 ~ Aaand... Phoebe enters the picture. And the colors of the video dull at her entrance.
1:18 ~ Does anyone else love this moment at the end of Cleveland? I loved the way they shot that scene and the music over it as Phoebe (and Jack) shut Liz out of the office.
1:32-1:37 ~ After Jack's heart attack, Liz is the only one he wants to see. Phoebe looks a bit pissed, doesn't she? There's no real break up scene between Jack/Phoebe that I could use from the show, which I actually just realized when I tried to vid. All three of Jack's break ups (Phoebe, C.C., Elisa) don't have a proper break up scene that would be obvious without audio... So I used the next best thing, which is Liz being Jack's first choice.
1:39 ~ And the video goes back to its original bright color after Phoebe is gone. It was supposed to be a subtle hint that the Phoebe arc was a down time in Jack and Liz's relationship. After crossing that hurdle, their relationship continues to bloom. I also wanted to use the "Do you think you can find it?" parts to show many of the sweet Jack/Liz moments
2:22 ~ I think this might be my favorite Jack/Liz moment ever. The fact that Jack flew all the way from D.C to N.Y just to check if she was okay after her voicemail?
