it happened again

Hm...been a while, huh? I must say I've been slacking lately and is it possible that the senior slump is hitting me already? In my junior year? Oh yes. This can't be good for my five-year senior plan....

I had this weird dream a few days ago where I randomly ended up walking in an old Japanese village. At the end of the road were two paths. One lead to a quiet forest filled with moss and bamboo and another was a dry and dusty path that ended at the mansion of some wealthy merchant. The garden of the mansion had some creepy statues built in it so I decided to go to the forest. As soon as I entered the forest, I heard a deep voice call out, "All maidens who enter shall die."

For a while, I was like "maidens? who the hell uses 'maiden' nowadays? oh wait...shit." and realized I was dead. So, since I didn't want to stay in the forest anymore (especially because as soon as I had entered, it had turned dark and eerie) I turned around to step out. Yet instead of turning back to the village, I entered the house kitchen.

I saw my mother washing dishes at the sink so I walked over to her and asked her what had happened. She replied, "What do you mean? You're in hell, of course." and began laughing maniacally. There, the house-owner came over and asked what my mother was laughing at. My mother replied, "Oh, nothing. There's just a ghost here." The house-owner wished she could see ghosts but my mother said, "No, you don't really have the ability. It's too bad, you'd laugh if you saw who it was..."

I'm not sure what it is but, recently, I've been having dreams like this more and more often. They're always of my mother who stands before me laughing and ridiculing me. E thinks I might have some unresolved issues with her. Ha! Duh.... But it doesn't matter since I plan to never resolve them. Hopefully, the dreams will stop though. It's very uncomfortable...waking up with the echo of crazy laughter in your ears.
