Yesterday was so effing fun... D:
I went to this robotics competition organized by some really bored people in the province of Ontario. There were contestants from the states as well as U.K.
We had a blast.
The competition itself wasn't as interesting... all we did was prepare our robot that we've built months ago, and watch it go get beat the scheiza out of by other robots (Robots had to shoot hoops like in basketball, and flip other robots to stop them from advancing to their hoop). BUT, me and a bunch of hooligans made this boring event fun for ourselves. So in the beginning, everyone was surprised that I went, because I wasn't in the robotics club, I got dragged into it by Mr.Tam. He told me that he'd kick my ass if I didn't join. The event took place in Hershey Centre (I think it was originally used for hockey). I got these pair of cool safety glasses for free. And all the other teams were handing out a bunch of bracelets and buttons and whatnot with their team name on it. Alex, Borris, Mahesh, Ryan, Vithootian, Xiao, Steven, Nima, Navid and a bunch of other people were all there. First, Alex, Borris, Mahesh, Ryan and I went around the centre being really bored, then we watched a bunch of mascots from other teams fighting (not actually fighting, just for fun), then we called pizzapizza for lunch, and Borris stole 2 slices more than we were supposed to have and got yelled at by Mr.Tam. Sometime during noon, I was just standing around, looking at stuff, then this mascot (Black Knight) walked up to me like Darth Vader, and he signaled me to hug him. At first I didn't know who he was referring to, because there was a bunch of other people near me, so I pointed to myself to make sure it was me that he was looking at. He thought I didn't want to hug him so he put his arms down and tried to look all sad, then I went up to him and hugged him, he was like "Sweet". It was very very random, but funny xD.
Later on, Mahesh and Alex got really bored, so they started looking around for girls to flirt with. They wanted to have some fun, so they had me going up to the girls and asking their e-mail addresses. I had a speech prepared: "Excuse me, hi, there's this guy on my team, he's too shy to come to talk to you, but he would really like to have your e-mail, is that okay?"
"Aww! That's so sweet! Of course you can have my e-mail."
It was hilarious... because the girls were talking to me like I was a kindergartener. Then again, I was talking like a 10 year old... maybe that's why they thought it was cute >.>
Then I went back to Alex and Mahesh and they copied down the e-mail that was written on my hand. They sad that they were going to have some fun with MSN tonight (I don't want to know.)
This went on for 3 girls, then we had to leave.
I think Mr.Tam was pissed off though, because all we did was fool around... but whatever, I'm not on the team, Alex isn't either, he's just there to tape the competition, so I don't care.
On the way back, we started this game, everytime we see a truck go by us, we'd do the arm-sign to them, telling them to hunk their horns (basically waving your arm up and down), some truck drivers thought that we were giving them the hand-sign, so they hand-signed us back xD
But some knew what we meant and hunked their horns. It was hilarious, Because everyone would woop afterwards, and Mr.Tam would always turn around to see what's going on, but never getting what we were doing.
It was seven when I got home, my parents thought that I was kidnapped.
