Proving this point, he gets up and Dumbledore's Army looks to him, expectantly waiting to follow his lead.
This line struck out at me, because it really defines how greatly the DA looked to Neville for direction, even after the battle. And his worry about Hannah also defines what kind of leader he must have been.
She looks like a flower, newly sprung from a bud, face turned towards the sun. Looking at her round, beaming face, Neville can't help thinking that the future they fought for is bound to be beautiful.
Such a fantastic last line. It not only wraps up not only this story, but the entire year that they must have gone through.
I loved it!

I think Neville really has the greatest potential for off-the-scenes character development in the books. It's a pity we never got to see more of what happened at Hogwarts while the trio were away! (Although on the bright side, it gives us fanficcers more scope to play with!)
