Summary: A song-filk of My Grand Plan from the LT Musical, based on Annabeth's adventures in TC.
Notes: This is pretty different from my usual stuff, and I don't know if you'd call it poetry or what, but basically it's a TC version of My Grand Plan (from the LT Musical) that I've been working on for a while. I even have the piano accompaniment drafted out, but it will probably be a while before I can actually put it all together in a proper recording because I keep messing up when I play it. But here's the lyrics anyway.
Fighting On (My Grand Plan reprise)
I've always been a smart girl
Always had the answers on every quest
They called me the wise girl
But now my wisdom's being put to the test
We found two half-bloods at the school
A manticore, oh no, not cool
This teacher in disguise, didn't want any guests
Our grand plan
Was to save two kids from monsters
We had a plan
Shouldn't have dispersed
We got split up; what a mix-up
Lost both kids and Percy
And from there on it all just got lots worse
I've always been a tough girl
Never backed away, always ready to fight
Even when you're tough, girl
Some opponents they just have more might
I jumped on Thorn; he took me down
Fell from a cliff; we hit the ground
And now I'm on my own, and lost on this mountain site
My grand plan
Was to save my friends from dying
I jumped right in
