Why you should read this …
This fic strikes so many chords with me. One, it’s canon-based and really builds up Riordan’s universe so well beyond what is in the series. Two, it has a great plot, well structured and developed over the five chapters. Three, it develops a minor pairing in a believable and realistic way. And I’m tired of numbering reasons, but there’s more-how the author springs off the idea of rebirth in canon, and especially a parting comment from Luke in TLO, and really explores the idea thoroughly. The way the story plays with our emotions, weaving the tale using suspense, angst, and finally hope. Little details are well chosen to add to the background of the story and make the setting come to life. This is one of those stories that suck you right into its world and don’t let you go!
