Notes: I can barely believe I'm writing again, after a what, two year hiatus? Or more ... But this trilogy, and Samm especially, really drew me in. I'm not even sure this fandom even exists, given I couldn't find fic to satisfy my craving for more. Which just means I had to write it myself to stay in the world, and here we are. Although the book is chock full of action, this ended up being very much a character study and exploration, because hey, the guy is tied down and practically motionless for almost the entire timeline.

Chapter 1: Capture
After a failed ambush, Samm awakens, only to find that he is alone, in captivity, and has been given only five more days to live.
Chapter 2: Study
The first day of study begins, and Samm tries to understand the circumstances of his capture ... and the enigmatic girl who is at the centre of it all.
Chapter 3: Ally
Samm starts to realise that Kira might be the key ... not just to his survival, but the saving of both his and her species.
Chapter 4: Choice
The opportunity for Samm to escape arrives ... but brings with it a difficult choice.
Chapter 5: Escape
Kira returns with her compatriots to help Samm escape, firmly cementing his faith in her.
