Excellent writing, good pacing and well-chosen dialogue. I think that Snape isn't an easy character to get write, especially not Snape at the time of canon, but Pasi manages it beautifully. He comes across as an innately troubled person, walking the very thin line of light and dark, and with quiet bravery shining through. This fic challenges you to see beneath Snape's surface and suffer with him.
But after all that, the ending is especially satisfying - a release for both the character and the reader, beautifully written.
