Finished PoA!
And I'm just on to the first two chapters of GoF. They are really quite spooky--well, the first one at any rate.
On PoA first--I was reminded just why this was my favourite book for ages. The plot is just so tight, and the incredible backstory for Sirius and Harry's parents sucked me right in. Also it's the one time I can actually recall managing to hazard a guess at the mystery (I was completely wrong of course) but it added to the fun of it.
I can still remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the first time I read PoA. There's not many books I can say that for! And so it's always going to have a special place in my heart.
On GoF--each opening sequence of each book I keep being reminded of how snarky Harry is. Seriously this kid has one sassy tongue. The way he put down Uncle Vernon--'Okay I can't go, I'm gonna go write Sirius now.' I love it!
