February Frenzy, Day 1

Aaaand we're off! A little explanation first: last December, I had the idea of doing something special in the month of February, to exercise some creativity each day, devote some time to writing and other works. I loved today's entry. It is perfect in showing how the sisters grow apart.

I really hope I can carry this all the way through! I've not confined it to writing because I thought giving myself more options would make me more likely to stick to the plan. :)

Glad you enjoyed today's (well, yesterday's for me now) work; I've had to revise my original ideas of how the rift between Lily and Petunia appeared and grew. I'm happy to know it's still plausible!

I've not really read much Petunia fic, oddly, but I kinda love this. Great dynamic, great tone, great piece. Looking forward to the rest of it!

Thanks! I don't think there is that much Petunia fic out there, at least as far as I've seen. I'm glad you enjoyed this one!

You know, I was trying to turn the thing into a direction where Lily would have to eventually face Snape over the summer, but the hair clips had a different idea. This is the first time an inanimate object has ever taken control of my writing!

I'm glad this anticipating this little fic helped with your work. And now it's the weekend, so I hope you can get some much deserved rest!

Aw, lovely - makes me feel sorry for both girls in different ways. Their situation's just hopeless, isn't it :-/.

Thanks! I have a lot of sympathy for Petunia especially - it really isn't an easy situation for her.

(I ... er ... actually meant that as a 'post-DH Lily/James fic', rather than the story going to take place in a post-DH setting, if you get what I mean. Sorry I was unclear!)

My mistake - I saw "L/J" and read "Live Journal" rather than "Lily/James". It's Saturday, and I hadn't been up long....
