Friends Cut (public post)
As mentioned in an earlier post, I've just made a friends cut.
The reason is simple - I need to keep the flist manageable. I feel a need to know who I'm interacting with, and feel comfortable with them, and I sadly don't have the time to keep up with so many people.
I admit that a lot of that has to do with comments. That isn't a rule - I have friends, even some I haven't met in RL, whom I still feel close to and comfortable sharing things with even though they hardly ever comment - but generally, it is the only way I can ever interact with new people on LJ.
I hope no one will feel insulted in any way by this - if so, I apologise; there's really no malice in my doing this.
If you think I made a mistake, and would like another opportunity for us to get to know each other better, just leave me a comment here (it'll be screened).
Conversely, if I've left you on but you feel that you don't know me that well, and are not sure if you're comfortable with me being on your flist, I assure you there'll be no hard feelings if you defriend. :)
If - last if, I promise - you're here for the fic (I don't think there's that many people who are, but let's just pamper my vanity a bit :P), let me just point you to shiikifics, where I'm going to be posting my writing as well as reading recommendations. (If you're on my flist, you generally don't need to watch that, though, as I tend to cross post things here.) As I have a tendency to mix fic posts with more personal stuff in my entries, I doubt I'll be posting that many unlocked entries here in the future.
