Turkey day is almost here
and I think I am ready this year!!!! This past weekend I worked on Saturday, but then went to the store and purchased just about everything for turkey day. We got the smallest bird this year, but then again, there are only four of us. We took a walk in the park on Saturday as well, and had a picnic lunch. My hands were numb from the cold by the time we finished eating, but it was enjoyable to spend some time with Erik and the puppies. Sunday I spent a good part of the day in Peddler's Village with my parents. It was a blustery day, but it was nice to walk around and peek in the shops at all the holiday stuff. My mom picked out some ornaments for my sister and I for Christmas, and I picked up some yummy pasta from this Italian store, as well as a small gift for my mother in law.
Christmas shopping has begun! I have purchased two things for Erik and a bunch of little things for my mom and sister. It is going to have to be a small holiday this year due to the fact that I am making a lot less money than previous years, but hopefully we can make it fun. I am looking forward to getting the decorations out and making the house look pretty. We are leaving for Chicago the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so I think that the decorating will have to wait until I get back.
Well I am off to the shower.... just finished up my paperwork and I want to drop it off today so it is over and done with.
