it's so... wow. WOW. i did lol SO HARD though that the Boston team in her 'NHL' was just called the Boston Bears. There's tiny little things that make me think that the author knows a fair bit about hockey and then two seconds later I'll hit something else and be all "WOW, NO."
my guess is she's a fan in the more mainstream sense, who's not suuuuper obsessive about the little details as we are. various members of my family have followed the Hawks for a long time, but they don't know nearly as much about the CBA as I do, because I'm a nerd who writes fic/has new fan-itis and wants to know EVERYTHING.
BUT FOR REAL, BIKER GANG? HOW'D HE GET INTO THE NHL IF HE WAS...TOURING SWEDEN ANGSTILY ON A MOTORCYCLE OR W/E?
that would make sense. but then she seems to think that a D-man who's just been traded is... part of the top line? IDEK. I forget exactly my major "what WHAT NOOOO" dispute was, but it was funny. And... you do make a salient point there, and I suspect that is true of many of us.
RIGHT??? Apparently he was a small time runner for them as a ten year old and then they let him go to America to play hockey and were just waiting until they could blackmail him/take advantage of his success or something; it legit did not make plot sense even just from a crime point of view, either.
Also it has the stunning typical harlequin sex scenes.
And he has to change his name!!!! And there's clearly some series set up in that he has some foster brothers who apparently also play hockey/etc and cleaaaaaaaaaarly they also have book/s about them, too.
they're from some kind of rich family that owns... hotels?? or something. and they have PRIVATE SECURITY so Axel isn't worried about the biker gang going after them, just his new lady friend who he was on 24/7 MAKING OUT WITH because that's a thing that would happen.
omg I forgot about that Swedish biker gang fic. brb, downloading. it looks horrible/amazing. nothing like published Mary Sue fic.
