Okay, new rule: when I read something and think "omg, even *I* can write better than this" I stop mentally rewriting the badfic and GO WRITE SOMETHING MY ACTUAL SELF. Jeez.
I had a very nice evening with
angel_a, where we watched Greek and then Bring It On, and ordered non-pizza food from Hell and basically lazed about in luxury. And then swung home via the french bakery down the road (which was juuuust still open, whoo), so I have had delicious croissant for breakfast and now I am on the couch trying to rotate my laundry in a way that will let it all dry. I really gotta not let a fortnight's worth of clothes build up; it actually takes our washing line AND the drying rack over capacity. Having said that: omgwtfbbq it's not currently raining (touch wood) so I actually have clothes on the line. What is this strange new world, &c &c.
Relatedly: does anyone have ideas for things we can use lemons for that don't require freezing? Because we have a fucktonne of lemons growing out there (like, even by NZ standards it's a lot) and I am loath to let them sit out there and add to our "rotting in the garden" problem. Also lemons are delicious. (Not a Rodney McKay's opinion.) But yes.
Tonight I have hockey with my brother and Bronwen, and hopefully it will be fun. We will eat fake poutine (cheese curds are illegal here SIGH) and see what it's like being in the seats at Vector (I've only ever had GA there), and yell stuff at the 'USA' team (sorry dudes. The Commonwealth sticks together! Or, you know, there are some requirements that go along with basically being the same person as Kat.) Also, just for the record, my brother has grown up to be a pretty excellent human, which is nice. It'll be fun to actually hang out with him at a not-family-dinner type of occasion.
And tomorrow I have to tidy my fucking room oh god. Because 'it's a tip' is a grand understatement right now.
In conclusion: TOTALLY A RESPONSIBLE ADULT. YUP.
*eats lollies and plays on the internet* :D?
