(no subject)
Quick update: I am, as I was horrified to suspect on First Thursday morning when I got ready to leave NZ, totally sick. WTF IT WAS SUMMER AT HOME WHYYYYYYYYY. Everyone here has been just as awesome as they always are when dealing with a whiny coughing kiwi who is feeling very sorry for herself. (Seriously, it's 2009. Can we just cure the common cold already? I feel like I spend 90% of my time in this state hopped up on NyQuil.)
After the superwhiny last post I made, I did actually get to sleep some time after 7, and my wonderful housemates somehow managed to be quiet enough that I slept till almost three, so I did get about seven hours sleep in the end, but it was pretty clear I was definitely getting sick by then. Sigh. We went for an hour and a half or so's ramble up in the hills at the top of Victory which was lovely, it was all greeeeeeeeen and Lissie rescued many bugs. And then we grilled foods again (om nom nom veggie burger) and watched the Simpsons and were SO COOL. I totally didn't mention the part during Earth Hour where we all busted out See My Vest en masse with no accompaniment, because we are just that awesome. IL my friends.
Tonight I think maybe more grilling, and then Simpsons and X Files and possibly a field trip to Lush. Our lives are the moast exciting. I was totally planning to walk up to the Coffee Bean today and then fuel a beta with that, but oh god I think showering might be the wisest extent of my ambition today. Ugh. I better be better tomorrow. I refuse to be sickly at thenewno2 and then at the con. :/
Also, for the record, while I am being creepy, how long ago did I call Ryan living out in hippie canyon? Which I just saw today he totally confirmed to KatieKay earlier this week? BOO YAH, creeping in the lobbyin Southern California ftw. :D
In news of Awesome, ticketmaster have given me my Bamboozle Roadshow tickets over ticketfast without even asking why (I had a whole story rehearsed and everything!) so -- anyone in the St Louis area want them? I would love a financial contribution in exchange but basically I would just like them to get used, at least, so: please point anyone interested at my email/comments? It's the Cab, We the Kings and... other people I forget.
