...this needs reposting, if only so EVERYONE CAN BE AS TRAUMATISED AS ME. So, I was telling jocondite yesterday about the Star Wars Holiday Special and the horrifying realisation I had during the rewatch with Sunny and Rob about how they set the Wookiees up as fetishing/idealising humans and so on, and then she went to the "ahahaaa eww FLESHIES!" place like Chris had done at con.txt when we brought it up there, and then B. emailed me just today pointing out this. Apparently Han Solo in early EU/backhistory canon was not only raised by Wookiees (ahahahaaa god), but was married to one.
