You know what would be awesome? If someone wanted to, say, make me an icon of Ryan Ross with "I thought she was a sandwich" on it, that would be, you know. Kind of cool. :D (You know, I distinctly remember a time when my response to RyRo was NOT to want to pet him and feed him cookies and maybe make out with him a little. I'm pretty sure that time was, you know, January. Um. Oops? :D They just all keep being so fucking adorable, I can't help it! (Ahh, inadvertent pun.))
In other news, I am being Motivated and Organised and trying to clean out my - well, may as well steal Tracey and Liz's terminology - closet of SHAME.
I have barely even started excavating and I've already managed to toss out miles of receipts/paper I don't need. Um. It's entirely possible that last time I needed something financial-document-y I started digging and then got caught in a torrential flood of STUFF, the likes of which one usually only sees in cartoons, and may have had to shove everything back in there REALLY FAST and then slam the door and pray it'd stay shut. I am maybe now reaping the after-effects of that. *headdesk* I kind of... am really bad at throwing stuff out? And given that I have actually saved myself a few times by having kept receipts it's a hard habit to break entirely, but I also do NOT need, you know, receipts for groceries that I've long since eaten. In 2006. *more shame* (I also have a bunch of receipts I really can't chuck because they're for DVDs I haven't watched yet, and if they don't work then, well, better safe than sorry, right? Ugh, unanticipated problem of the Giant Stack of Unwatched Media. Buggery.) I am maybe 1/4 of the way through, the closet is still very full (if no longer in danger of imminent collapse/landslide), and I've already filled a giant square-meter type bucket with paper that doesn't need shredding. Oyy.
Also, I got kind of bored this afternoon.
(None of these are very flattering, but whatever. I am trying to care less.)
(It's been pouring rain all day, so it's been greeeeeeeeeeey and dark. Thus, the awesome washed-out flash effect.)
The obligatory myspace/buzznet style shot of ironic scene kid cool. Or, um, me dorking out. You decide. :D
'There's far too much nostril in that shot!' Also, some of the paperwork which has thus far survived the culling of its brethren. It's already staging a takeover of my desk.
I include this one more because it's a photo of me I don't hate. So, you know, yay. \o/
The verdict thus far is, okay, yeah, it's a bit more uneven than I thought, but I might fix that up a bit next weekend, though I think it'll settle when I wash it the first time; my mother thinks it should be brighter and more purple; my father noticed that they'd moved the garden shed next door and didn't realise my hair had changed until mum pointedly hinted. I find that latter hilaaaaaaaarious. ...also every time I catch sight of the front where it is Really Bright I keep realising just how many comments I'm going to be fielding at work. They're waaaaaaaay too easy to mess with sometimes. Heh.
Also, before the heavens opened today, it has been crazy dry here, to the point where work? Looks like this:
Yes, that is a giant cloud of dust racing up the side of the valley from the floor. Allllllllll day.
I know there was something else I really wanted to post about but I cannot remember for the life of me, so... gonna go back to trying to Accomplish Stuff now.
