It is to be hoped this doesn't jinx me.

So, trying desperately to get my email a little more under control, which means some of you are probably being deluged with reallllllllllllly old comments right now. I would apologise, but, um. This is how I roll. (Perhaps I have a small, tiny problem in letting go of things. Perhaps. I leave deciding that up to you.) But anyhow. I'm aiming to get my inbox down to 2800 (...yeah. I know. Mock at will.) today, we shall see how we go. And then the_antichris is coming over and we're going out to see Juno since it's finally out here. Ellen Page and Allison Janney YAY. *bounces excitedly*

And, since I didn't post them yet (and they don't all entirely suck, \o/!),

Shihad from up in the stands, where I was playing with my camera settings. Uh, for visual reference, this is zoomed in and is only about the front 1/4 of the pit. Yeaaaaah.

Shihad from up in the stands. I gotta say, while it was so weird I don't even have the words to describe it to not BE in the middle of that, the mosh pit looked kind of crazyawesome from above. I have video to upload later. Maaaan.

Main stages, Melbourne BDO, for atmosphere. Look how bluuuuuuuuue the sky is. It was pretty warm. Lotsa sunburned people by the end of the day. This was just after I came in around three, and sent tshirtgirl a text asking where she wanted to meet me, and then got flying tackle-pounced by her and jezzabe who had just happened to be right where I walked in and saw me. Not gonna lie, it was kinda awesome. *hearts them both* And seriously, what are the odds of that, because-- 45 000 person festival! And you just happen to run into the one person you know and are looking for. Fangirl radar, I swear.

I guess we'll just have to adjust...

The Arcade Fire. And, honestly, the fact this is almost lined up is pretty much a miracle, since I took this on my tip-toes unable to see, since the TALLEST MAN IN THE WORLD got pulled right in front of me by his girlfriend halfway through the second song of their set. I went from having a really good line of sight, three back from the barrier to being two back from the barrier and seeing T SHIRT. Heh. But they were still marvellous even though I couldn't see them or the screen around TMITW.

More Arcade Fire. So not a great shot, but oh man, after Auckland, I am just so so pleased to have one or two shots that are both mostly in focus and of the BAND rather than heads in front of me that I'm kind of thrilled with it. They were SO awesome, although it felt like they didn't play for as long in Melbourne as they did in Auckland. The crowd was a HELLUVA lot better in Melbourne for them, though.

The beer-tent streaker sitting down with his beer on top of the tent. I could've sworn I had a shot of him standing up (as I said to Kat, "I can't believe I took photos of a naked GUY! What the hell!") but my camera appears to disagree.

Fuckwits up a tree during Rage Against the Machine. Just while we were watching a bunch of people fell out of it, and at least three branches got snapped off. Poor tree.

I also have some awesome shots from fangirling (though sadly none from the Saturday when we had jamethiel_bane with us, because I am a dumbass who forgot she had her camera), but I gotta wait to see if Those Pictured are okay with them being posted under friendslock.

Finally, because I apparently can't help myself, I just found this on a random google-image search and, oh. My. Oh boys. WHAT is going on here.

Seriously, I am so easily and happily entertained when I find new (and hilarious!) pictures I've never seen before. Oh honeymoon period, stick around LONG TIME, pls. I mean. Okay, the knickers aren't that attractive, but the bra? I would SO wear that. Spencer Smith, please be my girlfriend? ♥ :D

[don't] panic, big day out, picspam, bandom, melbourne, fangirls
