In very yay news, shoemaster spread some super joy my way by fixing up my icon for me, some lovely anonymous person sent me an ADORABLE polar bear (thank you!! it keeps making me smile), achtung_meggie and I accidently committed wolfshirty Ghostbusters AU in my comments, and because I am both a GENIUS and also apparently now a person I would've scorned several years ago, I had a brainwave this morning, checked the Big Day Out schedule, realised all the bands I desperately want to see are on AFTER SIX PM and so, hi, I can just go after work and then I did the adrenaline-fueled ticketek dash, and hi, I'm going to two (two! two Wesleys!) Big Days Out. \o/\o/ And I am kind of thrilled with my instincts, because not two hours later they announced they were going to release the 2000 tickets they normally save for gate sales early instead since it was pretty much sold out, and they were a fair bit more expensive, so I saved myself money by being impulsive and ridiculous. ROCK.
(Clearly my 'saving money again' plan will go into effect NEXT month. Oops.)
In really not-yay news, Sir Edmund Hillary passed away this morning. I found the news a lot more affecting that I would've expected, actually. He was a good guy, you know? Mrrh.
Um. I had other stuff I kept thinking I should say, but it's a quarter past eight and I didn't even have dinner yet (I walked the dog and then I got sucked into LJ and LotMS again) so I should probably, like, do something about that.
