Yesterday, toasters. Today? The sapphic legacy, apparently.

So, we're watching the end of Who Wants to be a Millionaire after dinner, right (it is pub quiz practice, okay1?!), and Mum went back into the kitchen to put something in the sink, and then this happened:

Chris Tarrant: "The Isle of Lesbos belongs to which country?"
Me: "Greece!"
Mum: "Oh, have you been there?"
Me: *thinks 'In a manner of speaking!'* "...no."

Have just sent email regarding get/together travel planning to the_antichris, blademistress and stickmarionette. Let me know if any of you didn't get it, please? And, jamethiel_bane, if you haven't had it forwarded by the time you see this post, drop me a comment with your email address (or just email me - shihadchick (at) livejournal.com) and I'll send it on to you, too.

Also, I completely meant to post it on the day and then got distracted with omwtfpacking, but as of last Saturday I've spent exactly 1/4 of my life with a livejournal2. That's a little stunning, really. ...I feel like there should be some sort of meaningful statement to follow that, but all I'm coming up with is "...huh." LJ has been very good to me, though. Mostly because you guys are seriousfuckinly awesome, and keep on encouraging and enabling me to see, hear and experience all kinds of froody things. So thank you.

1Allison observed, in Melbourne, that my posts lately can be pretty much summarised as "work, work, work, pub quiz, work". I am both amused and a little stricken at the accuracy of this comment. HEE.
2Yes. I worked it out to the day. There were macroes and also similtaneous equations. Who KNEW they actually had a use outside of sixth form calculus?!

get/together, worst lesbian evah!, anniversaries, quote!, livejournal, fangirls
