Finally she picked up Baby LabTech's SE Irrigator, BEAT IT WITH HAMMERS, and then it was Just Right.

Okay, so I just realised tonight I should be spoiler-cutting this, because we're apparently only five weeks behind the US with Bones now (gotta love that mid-season hiatus), but I was so freaking amused this week by the way that the plot was essentially the same as Perfect Strangers. I twigged to it, flailed and started explaining to Bronwen. And was quite smug to be right. Heh. Although it made it significantly less interesting as a plot because China and I just WATCHED Perfect Strangers a week ago so it was still really fresh and thus I was sitting there mocking their meta (Brennan's FBI protagonist is called 'Kathy Reichs'. Har de har har, as Ray would say.) instead of being charmed by it like usual. I mock affectionately, though, at least. And the tv show, for once, is miles better than the books are, at least - the books have no sense of humour and very little of the quirkyness or the intriguing characters. ...I admit it, I have a soft-spot for Hodgins as well as for Zach. I think I blame Rodney? Though, as diluvian (I think?) said a while back, god, I SO want there to be Brennan and McKay crossover snark. Because that would be awesome.

And Bronwen and I had watched Coup D'etat before that (airing on NZ tv for the very first time TONIGHT! THANK GOD FOR THE INTERNET1.) But that was nice. Pretty, pretty show. And I do forget how that's quite a good episode, really. And Lorne! <3<3<3 But yes. I love my big dorky space show. A LOT. And especially on the big screen tv. :D

In other news, I should be around after Pub Quiz tomorrow (wish us luck in not getting caned! Also, I demanded that we at least pick a more subtle filthy team name for this week :D), but I really haven't been here today. Work was productive, if occasionally frustrating, which led to things like me standing at the bench writing fairytales in my head. Fairytales like "Goldi-lost-the-plot and the Three (Hundred Goddamn Fucking) Calibrations" when I spent half the afternoon swapping out one piece of equipment (stupid irrigator tube argh argh hiss) which was either too fast or too slow and went through about twenty iterations before I managed to work up something that was 'just right'. And then that led to having terrible horrible no-good2 thoughts about how metal is malleable and gets longer/thinner when you hit it with a hammer, unlike- well. Um. Moving on! *grin* ("Upon my oath, I am not a violent man..." No prizes for guessing what I am rereading this week, heh.)

And I kept getting texts from Kat who was in the same room as Morena Baccarin. And I wasn't. *pouts* (Apparently she is very hot in real life. \o/ Colour me unsurprised.) *still loves Kat anyway, though*

1 Though, okay, having said that the DVDs for Season 2 have been out here since December last year anyway, but still.
2Which reminds me, strangecobwebs? I found that Pansy Division Sheppard vid in one of my 'to watch' folders on the weekend and it is hilarious, must fangirl you properly tomorrow for it.

EDIT: Oh sweet rapping Jebus. In the words of my generationMartin Gero: David Hewlett, HOW DO YOU BE SO AWESOME?
