"Is that my cow? It is quite wee. No, it said 'extraordinary!' It is not my cow, it is Bono!" - Anti

I just went to write 100 - 200 words of a drabble based on text-porn I sent Kat a few months ago. It maybe turned into like 800 words. OOPS. *blames John and Rodney* *as usual* I also ended up mapquesting a ridiculous amount of stuff, mostly because apparently, yes, it IS important to me to know the approximate distance between Cheyenne Mountain and various Colorado landmarks. *wins?*

I'm reading Mary Renault's the Charioteer at the moment (thanks Chris!) and it's really, really good. I'm not sure what it says about me that I'd rather read a fairly mentally/emotionally heavy (well, you know, in comparison, at least!) book than one which is physically heavy, but I think the lesson here is really: Diana Gabaldon! If you simply must write 1400 page books, publish! In! Volumes! Oy.

Things that made me go HEE in the past day or so:

shoemaster: I rule with a maple fist!

etben: In my absence, John Sheppard will continue to be gay.

*snicker* Chicago fangirls for the win, apparently.

In other news, I am craving Rocky Horror1 like mad, and am most put out that a) I don't know when/where it's on here any time soon and 2) I don't have Izzy here to go with even if I did have a local showing soon. WOE. Right, have finally defeated today's tabs (if not today's email), so tis off to see the Wizardsee how many more Wizard of Oz references they can make on the big (occasionally gay2) space show3.

1The Picture Show, that is. Not the ice cream. ...is there an icecream? Oh god, if there is, do I want to know what's in it? Mind: boggling.
2To distinguish it from SGA, which is the big pretty-much-always-gay space show.
3ie, SG-1. Mmm. Acronym-y.

fic, quote!, sga
