i. um. may or may not have a new motto: "I put two and two together and got homosexual" [--rageprufrock's Hindsight.i don't think humans are supposed to make noises like the ones that made me make. it was kind of avian. and choke-y. huh. must finish reading, fb, and then beg to be allowed to iconise. because oh em gee ( Read more... )

gah, the sga story? SO TEMPTED to read it instead of working (how is it i want to read sga AUs when i've only seen four episodes of the show?) but just realised how long it is. must use willpower and wait till this evening. must.

"I asked him if he knew anybody who would want to get rid of him," Carter babbles, he indicates the two columns of names, scribbled fast and in increasingly bewildered shorthand. "This is page three," he finished in a quiet wail.

hee. once again, proof that rodney is the best thing ever.

(can i borrow dylan moran when you're done petting him? i have better uses in mind...)

i. um. i would reccommend reading it now - because i am NOTHING if i am not an enabler extraordinaire (this is probably not a good thing, mind) - except it is rather freaking long and also not terrifically cheerful in some middle parts (secondary storyline involves mention of violence against children, if that's a dealbreaker for you) but it is really, really good. also, i reccommend willpower. also, i have seen precisely no episodes of this show, i am just so weak there are not even words to describe it. HEE.

and yes yes YES. oh god a thousand times yes. i have so much Rodney love. SO MUCH.

(absolutely! and, hey, who said petting was all i had in mind? there's a reason he's the bunk monkey. ;) )

Hindsight is a great fic - I love that one! Have you read Pru's "Bell Curve" (Or "Ladies Night at the Boom Boom Room"?) Very funny!

I'll love anyone who loves Rodney. *loves!* :D

Dear Vonnie,

Today we invite you to make a guess as to why Claire was up til nearly 1.30am this morning when she had to be at work by 7.30am.

Hint: the two answers to this question are contained within your comment above.

Much, much, squeeful Rodney-and-John-loving love,

Claire

Erm - I'd totally pretend to be very very sorry, but hey...you got to read Bell Curve! That's all the forgiveness I need :D

And you shouldn't totally check out what_the_fic for some other good John/Rodney recs...nope.

(Hey - I was up until 2am reading Hawks and Hands Part 2 and re-watching parts of due South that I love...we all have our crosses...)

I appreciate your vague gesture. :D And this is so, so true. *g*

Ahh, excellent. As I have just this minute finished wringing dry both thefourthvine and makesmewannadie, my usual sources of All the Best Shit. So, yeah. I will definitely be not looking at that tonight. Totally not looking. 180 degrees of all around not reading anything there.

(Ahh, yes. Mmmhockeyfic. And, heee. Indeed. Finding SGA is like finding dS all over again - hours of glee and reading all the things that everyone else read months ago and squealing over them anew.)

I now have the joy of two fandoms that I'm majorly into with plenty of excellent writers on both sides. Ah crap - I'm never going to get anything done again am I?

i haven't tackled the long one yet (tired, saving for later) but i have been looking at the other sga stuff there, and ooh, lots of goodies. and more really good au-ness. the a&r rodney made me grin, and this? this is killing me with laughing.

Rodney spends the rest of the day not making eye-contact with anybody he works with and updating his list of people to kill. It's becoming unwieldy, he thinks sadly, and debates putting it into some kind of searchable database.

so good! (i should probably leave feedback over there, huh?)

yes! yes! i am silly and totally started some of the reallyreally long ones late last night, but in my defence my 'last story and then bed' fic turned out to be really freaking sad and so i couldn't leave it like THAT and had to read something cheerful(ish) to make up for it. it's fun to self-justify. :D

and, oh, god, YES. i died over that line. so. much. love. i need to send her (? I'm assuming) a long squeeful email or something soon because i am also a bit with the slow on feedback this week. er. year. time unit of your choice. :D
