so many reasons

Am home. Got to my interview an HOUR early (I do not win at traffic) by virtue of one of the infrequent gifts of our roading system - a straight shot across the bridge in the middle of the day, despite the Victoria flyover being really bad. I got there and was like "... well, crap, I could've left at least 45 minutes later" but luckily they were able to more or less see me straight away, otherwise I'd STILL be there. Seemed to take ages, but they also seem a lot better organised than the other crowd, so, I guess... tentatively hoping they can find me a job? As I've not heard at all about the job in town with the magic salary so I suspect that's vanished over the rainbow and I actually don't mind as long as I get SOMETHING soon. I did decently on the scores again, but my wpm keeps dropping (I think it's too many crappy keyboards - the one I tested on in Dublin was a nice swanky new one that worked) and apparently my alphanumeric data entry skills are, um, superlative? Yay. I'll be working half of next week, at least, for GL, before the hordes arrive. AND Dad got the wireless thingy working (yay! laptop!) so if anyone visitng me in the near future has a laptop with wireless, you'll be able to use it. I realise this is rather bittersweet for one or two people. Mrrh.

And then I stopped by Whitcoulls on my way home, went in and chatted to Carol and we destroyed the scary huge pile of readers copies (only about ten fell on me! yay! new record!) on top of the lockers looking for Two Boys At Swim and apparently we no longer have it. POOPY. Nor do we even have a copy for sale, which did not please me. Borders-ward I go, I suspect. But it was nice to see the girls, and they again wished I was still there *goodsquishy* and I miss them. Carol actually told me what she told the temp agency for my reference which was apparently that when asked "what [I] need to improve on?" said "absolutely nothing!" and then when asked if she would hire me again said "if I could afford to pay her she never would have left." Um, yeah, I kinda needed to hear that in the haze of unemployability, so... yay. And then, the thing that pretty much made the majority of today that-has-passed-already (remember, I'm working on about three hours sleep, the news that a burglary took place meters from where i was sitting last night, and a nice healthy head of steam about life in general here) worthwhile - I found CSI season 1 on DVD on the green dot table.

That's 75% off. So it was $25 NZ.

YIPPIE KIE YAY MOTHERFUCKER!!

So, um, yay, thank you universe, and I'll try to get my karma back to something resembling peace and love (or else) soon?

apt_of_luuuv, do you guys want me to call tonight still? It'll be about ten minutes, if that's okay. Let me know when you can. Love you all.

friends love, csi, job hunt
