Eh, more or less in order

Tokyo Day three. Going back to Okayama tomorrow. Expect no posts until--Oh who am I kidding, I'll be online the second I get home. Or to Ping's, as we might try to go to the sento tomorrow night, ahaha

Bestest breakfast ever--Avocado chicken cobb wrap. OMG I WANT MORE.

Mmmm, lunchies. (and we totally ate SO MUCH MORE after, like breads and sandwiches)

Okay, time out for some talk about something we did today. DAMMIT I WANTED SLEEP BUT THIS IS KINDA IMPORTANT

So this next part, I need to say this about. Ping and I decided to go to Yasukuni Shine today. You may have heard how controversial this shrine is. A lot of people bitched when Former Prime Minister Koizumi decided to visit it every year. It's dedicated to the war dead of Japan, which I think is really cool. They have been enshrined at Yasukuni, and people are able to come and pay their respects. An idea somewhat similar to the Wall in Washington, D.C., but religious in nature. (Like but not, if you want, there's lots of info on the internet, I am sure).

The problems with Yasukuni arise because many foreign countries do not like that some war criminals are enshrined there.

Me? I'm not going to say one thing or another about it--War is cruel and people do horrifying things during it on both sides. Hey, even America had internment camps. We may not have tried to kill the Japanese (and others I think) there, but it still happened. In any case, I'm not going to say one thing or another about that--now it's all just a matter of politics and culture, and it's up to the Japanese to decide that, not me.

What bothers me is that this place is so lovely and beautiful, and the Foreign Hate Machine uses it as a symbol. Mind you, we went on a day that had protesters and riot police, so I got to see the worst of it. But it's really insulting to be yelled and and told that you aren't wanted and are ruining the country you've decided to live in.

Look dickwads, I'm pumping your economy in these hard times and trying to impart some wisdom to your kids. Shut up and stop reading and writing your language, cause HEY-O, that's from China. Go back to using spoons, you've had those from the beginning. The thing ruining your country is you. Cause other then the dickwads at Yasukuni today giving me the Death Glare and the "GO HOME GAIJIN" shtick? Everyone here in Tokyo has ben so amazingly wonderful to Ping and I. We've talked to so many nice people, and have had SUCH a good time.

So yea, I dunno what stick crawled up these guys butts, but reguardless, Ping and I took pictures and gave them no money. THANKS YASUKUNI, YOU WERE THE CHEAPEST PART OF THE DAY! 8D

SEE? I WAS NOT KIDDING ABOUT THE RIOT POLICE. Kinda wanted to take a few of them home, they were kinda cute

GODDAMMIT THE NINJA FOLLOW ME TO CONTROVERSIAL SHRINES TOO WHY ME AAAAHHHHH.

TOKYO TOWER FROM ODAIBA!

"What's that?"

"Oh my God!"

"IT'S A GUN---"

YEAH MAN. GUNDAM. ODAIBA. IF YOU ARE IN JAPAN, HE'S THERE UNTIL THE END OF THE MONTH. Get on the Yurikamome line, take it to Fune-something, and then ask direction. The Fune-whatever stp is a stop past Daiba on the Yurikamome, and is the closer of the two stops to GET to the thing. Also? if you take that one home you might ACTUALLY get a seat on the train home.

A BIG FEATURE OF TODAY WAS:

STAIRS. WHY DEAR GOD STAIRS. EVERYWHERE.

We were SO sore at this point, and thought this exit that we were taking would be faster and have less stairs. Um, it wasn't and there were four (or five, I really think Ping missed a flight) of stairs we went up. I kinda cracked on three, and the Japanese people around us were like "........wtf is wrong with HER?" Guys, my legs? ARE STILL SORE. As much as we have been hitting the pavement and walking, I think we've walked off the copious amounts of food we ate.

Then we went in search of food. But that's not what we found. XD

Nono, we went for a rickshaw ride.

That guy? AWESOME. He took us on a really fun ride through some interesting places in Asakusa, and I really want to do that again! Found out that all the rickshaw guys that you see in Kyoto and Asakusa? It's a COMPANY. We had NO idea. He told us all sorts of fun things, like about the street where people drink all day and then sleep in the streets (HAHAHA. Ping was like "Oh, like Thailand." HAHAHAHA OH PING I LOVE YOU), and the "Star Square/Area" were Japanese stars have put their hands in the sidewalk like in Hollywood. He also pointed out where Osamu Tezuka used to vrink. I WILL GO THERE NEXT TIME.

DINNER WAS KAITEN SUSHI FROM TSUKIJI. So, we couldn't SEE the famous Fish Market outside of looking at where it is, but we got to eat fish from there. OMG, it was SO. WONDERFUL. I've never had sushi his good before. No pictures inside, they seemed a little foreigner weary so we tried to remain nice and not TOO terribly touristy.

Sensoji temple at night.

We leave tomorrow at around eight, and head home. Our grand adventure is over.

Expect more posts later with different pictures. :3

Goodnight! And enjoy!<3333
