A Very Awesome Day
Last night I went into the city to eat soup at Ping and Brigid's, and see Brigid off cause she's left for the US today. She's coming back with a PS3. We giggled about what games we should play. XDDD I think we are looking into the Devil May cry series, and she's going to play the Metal Gear series. YES. AWESOME TIMES ARE A GO.
So this morning we all headed to Okayama station and then Ping and I went to Osaka, and met up with Kate. In DenDen town there was some sort of Cosplay thing going on, and it was pretty cool. LOTS of cosplayers of varying degrees of good and terrible, with a few really awesome ones here and there. I didn't take pictures because it was SO CROWDED. But a bunch of people stopped our group of Lolitas and took our pictures. 8D Four foreign lolitas walking around probably was surprising. We got lots of "Oh!! You're so cute!" from people. Yay. That was pretty fun. Kate and I saw a Naked Snake and a Kamina, and we giggled like idiots. I also saw a few Code Geass people, a million Haruhis, and a Tuxedo Mask. Who saw heard us all go "OMG TUXEDO MASK SQUEE!!" and bowed to us with a flourish. OMG. He made our day. <3333
I saw a group of Light(Raito, whatever) cosplayers and they were kinda lame. XD They really didn't look like him but we're pretty sure that's what they were aiming for. All in all, it was really nice to see that Japan is not perfect at cosplay. HOLY CRAP let us not mention the terrible wigs. (All of the cosplayers on my flist are WAY BETTER then the people I saw today, haha. Except that Zero was pretty amazing. As was the Pope Lulu and the pretty CC)
We also ate some food and went shopping. I bought some Vivienne Westwood handkerchiefs, one to give to a JTE who is leaving, and the other two to use in my daily life. I saw some REALLY pretty dresses that I wanted to try on, there was an AMAZING MAM print with kitties that was SUPER cute and 7000 yen. I could have fit it. But alas, I gave that up for Lent, oh woes. THAT IS OKAY. I can deal.
Sadly there was ALSO A SALE going on. Sadly, but thankfully, imo.
Tomorrow is Toji flea market. I am waiting for Erin and Ping to get back from the store, so I can get one of them to take my picture and I can get changed into pjs. Mmm. And then? Sleeeeeeeeeeeeep.
Today was fun! I hope tomorrow is too. :3 I will be SPARKLY.
