Oh yeah, I rock orange, baby

There are days when I actually enjoy taking advantage of the fact that I can, on occasion, dress well on the cheap. It makes me happy that I CAN look good, I just generally choose to be lazy. XD

Also thought I'd share this awesome bit of Charlie the Unicorn. Which makes me think I should change my icone, BUT DUDE. Wearing orange means OBITO ICON TIMES

Anyway today was kinda lame cause I'm going to kindergardens tomorrow and Friday, and they contacted all of. . . you guessed it. TODAY. I like the kids at that age, but damn, I have things to do too! However, I get to go in late, and tomorrow, like. . . will just plain rock. Get up at 8:30, go there at 9, leave about an hour later. At which point I will go home, putter on the internet, pack up laptop and head to the junior high for lunch. I was frustrated as all hell this morning, but I'm okay now. I just realy, REALLY wish I would have known in advance. Technically, I did, because testing at the JHS means I might have kindergardens. BUT THEY DIDN'T CONTACT ME SO I DIDN'T THINK I HAD TO GO. Bah. Oh well. There is a birthday party tomorrow, so I will TRY AND BE GOOD. Hopefully teaching them about me and then doing a numbers game will be good enough. Also, the kids SHOULD like being chased around, generally they do. And doing the whole "stand up, sit down, jump, ectect" thing will work too.

Okay so the problems with th ichinensei are getting worse. Today, there was a lot of banging and shouting from one of the students. The story I got (because I was honestly curious) was that someone stole the freaking mikan off of this one troblesome student's tray, and he was pissed. Seriously. He was banging things and making all sorts of a rukus. There was quite a bit of yelling involved. I think someone also threw something at one of the teachers as well, and she had to change out of her suitinto a track uniform. (as an added note, she came into the staff room and was like "I've had enough!" and I was all like "O_O"

See, this is one of the reasons I've considered not signing on for another year at Osafune. My favorite classes are with the sannensei, and as they are graduating in March, they will be gone, and I will miss them. The ninensei are good kids, mostly. There are upstarts but I think that they'll be okay. The ichinensei. . . man, those are the four most dreaded classes I have all week. G-gumi not included. And I heard that the sixth graders at the elementary schools right now aren't much better.

WHAT TO DO?

These kids havethrown things at teachers, lit fires on school property, cause major disruptions, run crazy and wild. . . I am so shocked. Some of these kids really need a swift kick in the ass and none of this retarded coddling that they are given. Recently one of them had the police called on him, and his parents came. . . the teachers here don't really know what to do. Since kids CANNOT FAIL whatesoever until they hit high school, they screw off in Junior High. Yeah, I think I just heard the sounds of all your brains exploding with that. I was always raised to think that Japanese schools were strict, and maybe, once upon a time they were, but now? Man, I don't know how Japan creates intelligent people. No offense to the teachers, but the students have very little motivation to learn. I mean, if you knew that there was seriously no way that you would fail, would you try very hard?

Yeah. I didn't think so.

So, it' something to ponder.

Aside from all that, today was okay. I'd share pictures of my first crock pot meal, but I am lazy and it was not amazing. Next I will have to try something that is more soup like, because this turned out to be honey barbeque chicken. Which was kinda boring.

Should make good salad materials though.

work, life in japan, fail, welcome to fail population: you, tara wtf stop talking, food, clothing, everyday is war, wtf, job
