So this weekend was totally awesome. I got to meet up with Megan one last time<333, and that was all sorts of fabulous. We did print club a total of five times this weekend, Oh hohoho! I have to scan some of it and post some others, but it was all really awesome. We were really sad our last 'ghetto gaiden' puri turned out so blech. It was an old machine, and it printed out reeeaaaally light, so I'll try and make it look better in the pictures.
We are SUCH DORKS.
We had dinner together at El Pancho, which was yummy, and I look forward to mexican food at home now. Mmm. And avacado.
Ahem So I went back to Kate's, messed around on the internet, then went to sleep. I woke up to Kate snuggling in bed with me when she got home, which made me laugh and shiver cause SHE WAS COLD. But I am a veritable HEATER so it's okay. We huddled together and I slept for another hour before getting up to get dressed and stuff. She was pretty awake when I left, and we talked about her misadventures and giggled, and then I went off to meet Megan again.
Megan was weaing a super cute pink loli dress with all her fun little clips in her hair, which I thought was adorable. We went and had lunch, then shopped a bit before meeting up with Kate for Starbucks. At starbucks, I was convinced to go to the Lolita meet, even thought I was TOTALLY not even remotley in Loli, but this was okay, so I said yes. Since I didn't have to be at work Monday, this was not a bad idea. So we sat around Starbucks then headed off to the OTHER Starbucks to meet the Osaka Lolita group.
All together there were seven adorable Osaka Lolis, and me. We left STarbucks and headed off to find good places for pictures--since I was the black sheep, I just took pictures--not that we took a lot of pictures. There was the 4chan Christmas tree (Merry Christmas from the cesspool of the internet!), and the TREE OF MORE RACE. (Note: A popular joke amoung all lolita girls is the whole l/r thing in Japanese, so race=lace) We did Print club (This was number five for the weekend, HOLY CRAP MEGAN LOL) to get cotton candy, and then I played taiko with P., who was frustrated with Train-train (I felt bad, it's one of those songs though, that some people can play better then other, cause it's patterned) but was okay with the other song we did. I was about to play again with Kate and then couoldn't, I was out of 100en peices, boooooo. P. wanted to do DDR, but that machine was being monopolized by somebody who didn't seem to be all that amazing buuuut I still think it was lame that it was kinda like he was camped there for the day. GR.
We headed off and did some window shopping, stopping at the BPN store along the way to Christon's. People got shiny baubbles, and then we went to Christon's for food.
Christon's was awesome, good food and tasty champagne. We ordered a lot of food, but I think it ended up being about 2100 for all of us who got champange, which was not bad. There are several pictures of us there, and one really awesome one of Kate double-fisting champange. SO VERY VERY RORI<3
We ended up doing karaoke in a sketchy part of Umeda, but it was good and fun and fairly cheap. Megan sand some Diru, which was HILARIOUS because she looked all cute and innocent, and then she was death scream singing obscenities into the mic, cause that's how Diru rolls, man.
Karaoke was super fun, we sang a bunch of Disney songs (WOW I did not think I could sing some of that, YAY KINGDOM HEARTS), and the loli girls exchanged presents. It was pretty awesome, I think everyone was REALLY impressed with H.'s sewing skills (she made her gift!), and I was all emo cause I didn't do the exchange. To be fair, I had NO IDEA I was going, and I didn't want to fork over the money to get a gift, and there was no place TO do that, really, as when we left Starbucks, we had ten minutes before the meet-up. WHOOPS. Oh well. It was just really, really awesome, because everyone there was a geek at heart, and we all liked the same things and we all love Utena.
Oh yeah, fun fact: Highlight of my weekend was discovering that Megan also loves the Utena movie. THANK GOD. I love the Utena movie SO FREAKING MUCH, it is quite simply one of the most beautiful things I have ever watched. I love the series, but. . . the movie? Makes me want to be Utena, and find a relationship that deep and awesome. Okay, you can argue that it's not deep, but it is. I really want to find a love like what Utena and Anshi have, something that breaks conventions and triumphs over everything, and that forgives.
It's also really fucking gorgeous.
We left, and Megan and I said goodbye. She cut me off before I got sappy and there were tears. THIS IS A GOOD THING. I would say more, but. . . I think it's better that I don't. Megan's anm awesome person, and we are both sappy enough to tear up over this. So I won't. But I love you, Megan, you're awesome.
Met Kate on the train platform and we went home. Got up in the morning, went to Misodo, and then I went back to Kuse and did a WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING. Which means I am leaving school early tomorrow to PACK. I need to shove things into my suitcases yet, HAHAHA.
And that was my weekend. Got to discuss cute boys with Kate, saw Hear's preformance on a DVD (LOL OMG Aito NEVER STOPS TALKING, it's kind of adorable), and just hand out with friends all weekend. It was really, really good. Also laughed at fandom secrets and lj secrets with Kate, made stupid jokes (NIPPLES!) and just had a blast.
Awww man, I love Japan, and I love my friends. You all rock SO HARD.
